We stayed here for 10 nights (yes you read that right) and paid $300-$350 per night if I recall correctly. That is a lot but not uncommon for a ‘moderate’ hotel on property in WDW. Given you are on the property, there are certain things I am willing to overlook. However, I have stayed in dozens of hotels (including probably 30+ during COVID) and there are some things that are just basic expectations - especially when you’ve paid 1.5-2x to stay in a mid-tier (as opposed to lower-tier ‘value’) resort! These include an expectation that the room will be clean, an expectation the room will not have bugs in it, and an expectation that the room will be cleaned every day (that is, after all, a significant part of what you are paying for when you stay in a hotel vs. at home or in an Airbnb). None of these expectations were met during our stay at Caribbean beach. When we checked in on the app, we were informed that due to COVID, we would recover “light cleaning” every other day. It would have been nice to have known this when we booked and also had this defined upfront because “light cleaning” meant someone took out the garbage and changed our towels every other day. No making beds, no cleaning sinks, toilets, tubs, no cleaning the floors, etc. We asked about a linen change and were informed that would occur if we stayed 8 nights (which we did). I’m no mathematician, but we stayed 10 nights and never once had our linens changed. Disney claims this is all due to COVID and is being done for safety and health. I think they should just own up to the fact that this is to keep costs down so they can turn a profit with lower park capacity. Of the 30+ hotels I’ve stayed at during COVID, this was the only time I’ve had this level of service so I’m going to call Disney out on this one. On top of this, the room seemed like it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned for years - we found dead bugs in corners, hairs in the tub, dust, etc. and the floor felt dirty and sticky, despite being carpet! It’s something I’d expect in an hourly-rate motel, not a $350/night “resort” hotel! Add on to this the fact that we found multiple spiders, millipedes, mosquitoes and flies in the room each day. It was like we were staying in A-frames on a remote island in the Caribbean - not a resort hotel! The location is great, I can’t knock that and honestly, I don’t like to say negative things about Disney because I generally believe they deliver a great product / experience for the price. However in this case, Disney can and should do a lot better and should stop using COVID as an excuse to mismanage a hotel that costs families a significant amount of money. Definitely disappointed with the experience this go around!

I have stayed here 3 times. I love the location…I think the staff are hands down the greatest. They really care about you having a good stay. But the last 2 stays I have had issues with the AC system. First time it went out and we had no air and it had to be replaced. This last stay it started to make clanging sounds at midnight and I got no sleep. But the thing that bothered me was the toilet was dirty. Not all over..but between the side of toilet and tub it was gross. The floor and side of toilet. Not disney standards and I am sure it’s a Covid thing due to lack of staff. Would I try to stay here again? Yes I would! Why…Disney Skyliner! Also the beds are super comfy and it feels like a vacation when you are there..and the staff…they go out of their way to make it right

Had a good stay. We were there for only one night but the room was well maintained, clean, and all else was as expected. The front desk people were very friendly, accommodating with room requests. We were able to checking in well before 3:00 and our room was ready upon arrival at 9:00. The pool was clean and the kids had a good time on the slide. Not as good as the higher end Disney resorts but probably better than most moderate ones. The convenience of the skyliner was nice to get to Epcot and the boardwalk. Food choices for vegetarian family was challenging. I can recall much in the way of different options beyond the typical salad and pizza. Overall a good stay. Beware the resort is large and depending on your location it can be a bit of a walk to get to the main buildings. We stayed in Aruba area and were able to enjoy a quick walk to the Riviera skyliner and the main area.

I originally booked Pop Century because I wanted access to the Sky Gondola. But after awhile I thought the hotel might be to juvenile for my 21 yr old so I upgraded to CBR. Everything was what I expected after reading reviews. The exterior of the hotel was beautiful. It made you feel like you were in the Carribbean. We stayed in Martinique section. I loved this section as it was close to the main hub of all things. Pool, restaurants,& store. Easy access to park bus transportation but a long walk to the sky gondola. Not bad in the morning, but on the way back when you are tired, the walk seemed endless. The room itself was ok. They did have a hairdryer, safe, soap and shampoo, one cup coffee maker, iron, refrigerator and lots of towels. Beds were very comfortable as well. The only thing we were really disappointed in was the food. I wish there was more variety. If it wasnt for the pool bar I might have dropped it another star. The pool bar was a great place to kick back and relax with a cold drink. But most of the time We ended bring food home from the parks so we could munch on that instead of ordering from the hotel. The grab n go was great but there is only so much pizza or sandwiches you can eat. I most end this with the staff. They are what make this hotel great. They go above and beyond to make you feel special. They get the highest rating of all. Would I stay here again?? Yes. Basically because of the location and convenience of the park transportation.

I was very uneasy about all the bad resort reviews while planning this trip. Yes, it is a large resort so vacationers need to do their property research. We got the building requested and our room was excellent for 5 people, AND, our room was ready by 1:30. We all thought the beds were very comfortable (queen size), and tons of nice pillows. Room was close to Cay Island Bridge - we used playground and watched outdoor movie where staff had towels for us to sit on. We used both Skyliner stations which is such a great way to get to Epcot and Hollywood Studios and order coffee/great pastries at Joffrey's food cart before boarding. Centertown Market was good, especially breakfasts (avocado toast and Mickey waffles :-) ... mobile ordering is a great feature; Sebastian's Bistro was fantastic with a Caribbean-themed family-style meal; Banana Cabana always had football games or golf on; ALL staff EVERYWHERE was so friendly and helpful. And for all the people who complain about Mousekeeping... hey, it's a different time right now. Resort schedule is to clean every other day, which means trash removal, supply clean towels, and wipe down. One day I caught a sweet gentleman, who immediately swept and brought me extra coffee/cups. And yes, tipping does help. I'm sure when this pandemic is over, the old days of making beds and towel sculptures on the beds will return, but until then, ask nicely and be patient. Main pool area was amazing with plenty of room to swim, slide, wade in zero entry, or hang while toddlers romp in the pirate ship water play area. And lastly, the gift shop was one of the better supplied stores I've seen in many of the resorts. Great variety of Disney everything! I don't usually do reviews, but we loved this resort!!!
