My teen daughters wanted to spend two days at Universal Studios. I needed a place close by to hang out while they were there. I didn't want to spend a fortune, so the price and location can't be beat. The room was adequately clean. I immediately checked for evidence of bed bugs and didn't find any. We were able to sleep and shower there which was all we really needed. The front desk employees and the cleaners were all courteous. If you come here expecting 5 star Orlando customer service, you will be sadly disappointed. If you expect people to do their jobs efficiently and courteously, then you're all set. The outside of the property is atrocious. People were openly smoking pot in the parking lot and the smell of weed was literally everywhere on the property. The trash cans around the pool were filled to the brim with trash and there was litter everywhere. Honestly, it looks like people might be sleeping in the pool chairs at night. I was hanging out at the pool reading, and water just randomly started bubbling up out of the ground. Too bad it wasn't oil, because the location of this place would make it great with a few million bucks in upgrades. You definitely get what you pay for here.

I placed my reservation through booking.com for "Rodeway Inn". When I arrived at the hotel apparently it had changed to Clarion Inn. When I walked into the lobby it looked like it was thrown together in 5 minutes. Just an empty room with 3 makeshift desks, no decor. Not welcoming at all just like the employees. Walking up to the clerks I did not receive any sort of greeting. I stood there for 5-10 minutes while they carried on a conversation before they decided to acknowledge my presence and help me. The cashier that confirmed my reservation even stopped processing my paperwork to go on Facebook to read comments on a post. We finally got our room key and made our way to our room which was on the 4th floor. We had no idea where the elevators were because there were no signs. When we found the elevators, they did not work so I had to lug all my stuff up 4 flights of stairs, which was a disgusting experience in itself. It smelled like pee and at one point someone threw their garbage in the stair well. My room was less than spectacular. My reservation said there was a refrigerator, there was no refrigerator in the room. Just an empty spot where it was supposed to be. The beds were not comfortable and it felt like I was sleeping on a concrete slab. Overall the only good thing about the hotel is it's location on I-drive. It's within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and stores. Very disappointed

We had the worst experience staying at Clarion Inn International Drive, Orlando on Christmas day. We found cockroaches in the room after staying for half hour, then the front desk offered us a different room. Once we turned the light on in the second room, there were cockroaches crawling on the desk. The front desk gave us the option to check out and get a refund when the manager came in the next day. With the proper paper work from the hotel stating our short stay (one hour) due to cockroaches found in two rooms, but we still haven’t been able to get our money back after countless phone calls with them. It’s extremely frustrating we had to find another hotel in the middle of Christmas night then were refused the refund by Clarion Inn International Drive, Orlando.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place was absolutely disgusting. The staff was horrible and not friendly at all. We spent a long day at Disney and when we get back there was roaches all over the room and walls. They refused to give management name when we asked so we could speak to the manager. Save your money & go somewhere else!!!! We asked for someone to come look at our outlets and air conditioner because neither work and no one ever came to look at it. There was gum all over the floor and the remotes were taped and didn’t even work. They also never even came to clean the room and to get new towels we had to takes ours to the front at 10 when we got back and were just ready to go to bed we couldn’t. Thankfully my parents had the room next to us so we could move our kids and not worry about completely moving rooms when they were already asleep.

The location is good and was very cheap on Hotwire. The bad news is that we only got room cleaning service 1 day out of 5.
We never got clean towels. We got back to the room after a day at Sea World and room was never cleaned. The guy at the front desk named Rafi said the cleaning crew left for the day and asked me to pick up the dirty towels and take them to the front desk to exchange for clean ones. We were using Kleenex for toilet paper because no room service means no toilet paper. I like to give good reviews. This is not one. Please avoid this place

This hotel is old dilapidated and has Cocker Roaches 1st off the pictures for this location are really old and deceiving there is no pool I booked this hotel through Priceline and was not able to get a refund, so I had no choice but to keep the room. The hotel charged me a $94.75 resort fee for my stay. I guess the resort fee was for the roaches as one of them walked right across the bed. I immediately brought this to hotel staff's attention, and they moved my room, but I opted to sleep in my rental car in the parking lot after that I only entered the room to use the bathroom and to shower since I could not afford to stay somewhere else because I booked the room with Priceline and was not able to get the hotel to cancel my stay. Most of the lamps in the room didn't work. The towels felt like sandpaper. The desk chair was peeling. The walls were dirty as was the elevator. The trash bins were overflowing and there were no amenities. The only thing this hotel had going for it was the location.

I usually don't write reviews but I thought it was important to write an accurate review so you can make up your mind if you want to stay at the clarion. The pictures you see on the choice hotel website don't truly represent the hotel conditions The room was clean but I killed 2 roaches. The outside of the property is not kept clean. The elevator sinks. The laundry room was dirty. I mean dirt that looks like soil. Only one machine worked. The others had water that smelled bad. It must have been like that for weeks. The pool also was not cleaned. There was a glass liquor bottle on a table for 3 days. The pool had leaves that were there for 3 days. The lobby bathroom had no soap. The hotel is located in an area where you can walk to many restaurants. There is no breakfast. On the website it shows pictures of a Cafe it has been closed since covid. Based on this accurate account you can decide if the price is worth the stay

we booked this hotel ourselves for a cheap week away.
the price and the location were great ,very cheap and located right in the center of I-Drive.
the room itself was actually very big, a little dated but not too bad it was clean at least.
Sadly the hotel itself and the people staying there let it down.
to look at it resembles a block of flats and not a modern one. the air conditioning units for each room including ours were very loud and left a pool of water outside each persons rooms.
each night we had the people next door sitting outside our room smoking weed which then got blown into our room via the AC unit it seems.
pool was ok nothing special but we were never at the hotel to use it anyway.
the staff seemed friendly enough although we only ever spoke to them to check in and out.
our room was only cleaned once throughout the entire week but apparently this is now normal in Florida to save costs? at least this is what i have been told by locals.
all in all if your not fussy and simply use it as somewhere to sleep at night as we did its not bad hotel with plenty of things to do nearby and only 5 minute drive from Universal.
if your looking for something nicer, modern and up market then this is not the place for you.

The only thing I could say nice about this place is the event I was attending was within walking distance. The place is roach-infested, and the linen was dirty when I requested new sheets, I received a set of stained sheets with cigarette holes. The towels and washcloths were stained and rough I wouldn't use them on my dog. Went to Walmart to buy towels, washcloths, bug spray, and bathroom cleaner. On a positive note, I did see someone cleaning the parking lot. I do not recommend this facility to anyone, this was my first and last Clarion Inn/hotel stay.

Try NOT to stay in this hotel, if you can, we found incest inside the room, the beds were old and noisy. I had to contact the Front Desk 3 different times to report the bathroom sink was clogged up before they sent someone to fix it. Not to mention that there were some suspected individuals wandering around the hotel.
