My wife and I have stayed at the Rosen Inn, 7600 International Drive on a number of occasions. We thought we were going to again until we printed our hotel voucher to discover we had booked Rosen Inn, Pointe Orlando, 9000 International Drive. What to do, try and change the booking last minute, which may have occurred charges, or just go with it. We know I-Drive well, my wife’s colleagues rave about Rosen at Point Orlando, so we went with it.

A certain transportation provider let us down on our return journey to the airport last year. A taxi driver at 7600 bailed us out, so we contacted him for transfers this trip.

After walking 1km in the new Terminal C we got our taxi and headed to our hotel. We had emailed to ask for a room on the ground floor. They provided this. The hotel room was clean and did not have any musty smell. The usual microwave, fridge, hairdryer, and most importantly coffee pot were provided. The beds were fresh and comfortable and the TV modern, The rooms were cleaned daily and we have no negative things to say about the room or the maid service. Twice supervisors checked that we were happy with the room and its upkeep and there was obvious security patrols on a regular basis.

The door lock in our room failed, it was replaced within 15 minutes and they brought us new room keycards.

The pool was always quiet, a consequence of the time of year. Again, no complaints aside from the water was too chilly to swim in at times.
For our next visit we would be happy to stay in either of thr Rosen at 7600 or 9000 I-Drive.

Just returned from a two week stay. Firstly the location of the hotel is excellent. Walking distance to bars and restaurants on International Drive and a short drive to Universal (around $12 in an Uber). Longer to Disney (around $15 in an Uber). The grounds of the hotel are kept immaculate but maybe the early morning leaf blowing could be a little later.
The rooms are comfortable but a little tired. A change of flooring and bedding would definitely be welcomed. Carpeted flooring in a hotel is not for me. The beds (their are two) are extremely comfortable.
House keeping came everyday and made up beds, changed towels etc. The rooms were left quite dusty though.
All the staff were very friendly and polite. We only used the restaurant once for breakfast and it was exactly what you would expect for a $10 dollar buffet breakfast.
All in all the hotel is very good value for money and the location means you don’t need a hire car at all to get around. Would definitely go again if we got the right price, however if the hotel was updated, it would be our hotel of choice and we would be willing to pay more.

So this is my second time at this resort and was again a great holiday. Stay in March just before the virus hit.

The room was a perfect size and has everything you need, maybe tho I would prefer a small table and chairs to sit and have food at then the armchair but you have loads of space to eat around the pool and beside the shop so again not a major deal. You have a fridge, microwave and coffee machine, if you are a tea drinker like me you can just heat up he water and use that. The room was always cleaned and tidied everyday, they do come early so if you like a sleep in don't forget to put the 'Do not disturb' sigh out the night before. We stay in block B facing the pool, I emailed the hotel before I travel to ask for this block beside it was closed to reception, pool, restaurant , and they were more they helpful to help.
The pool is great for the kids always loads of sunbeds nobody is allowed down to early to reserve beds because the gates do be lock . Towels are provided with is great because not everyone brings towels. There is a small amusement area for the kids all machines are $1 so bring change. Only a handful of machines so don't worry might not cost you too much for the kids. The laundry room was in this block also so is was great to get a few bits done while the kids are in the pool, by you own washing powder in Walgreens across the road, there is a machine there to buy washing powder but its $3 for one load and if you need to done my there that it can add up, can get busy sometimes so get there early in the day The hotel was has free transfer to parks with save my a ton of money, just make sure you book the night before ! At night the bar is quite and nice just for when you come back from the parks and just want a quick meal and a few drinks at the bar, before you head to bed, they have a happy hour so drinks do be quite cheap. So this hotel is perfect for families and couples of all ages there is things to do for everyone around. I booking this hotel again for next year hopefully when the virus calms down.

This hotel gets 5 stars from me! I visited from 1st - 14th March 2020!

The staff are very welcoming, the rooms are clean and the food is nice! Rosen Pointe Inn has a 24hr Lite Bite shop downstairs based in the main lobby and a small buffet area that has breakfast and continental dinner services.

The hotel includes three different sized swimming pools with lovely sun loungers which are new as the delivery came as I was there. The hotel has a nice bar and kids arcade room. The hotel provide a morning/afternoon room cleaning service, in each of the rooms are an iron and board, a microwave, coffee machine and a secure safe! The room has a telephone with free local calls so no charges and also has a 32” Samsung TV with standard channels.

The wardrobe and drawers are massive, I could get pretty much my whole suitcase (2 weeks worth of clothes) in just one of the pull out drawers they’re that big!

The hotel is located near International Drive and just a short walk across the road are a few bars, fast food restaurants and essential stores such as Wallgreens.

The one thing made my holiday was the feeling of being safe at night. With the hotels 24hr security you can be re-assured that you’ll catch a great nights sleep!

Thank you for a pleasant experience! I shall be returning!

I was surprised to find during my recent stay that the central bathroom exhaust system on each floor of Buildings F and G completely stops working for blocks of about 4 hours three times a day. All 20 central exhaust fans serving all 10 floors of both buildings stop working simultaneously (impacting about 340 rooms).

I complained to the hotel and the maintenance staff came to my room and told me this is by design and the fans are on a timer to give the “motors a chance to rest.”

However, I suspect it’s actually a misguided (and illegal) attempt to save energy.

While the motors are supposedly “resting” for hours, guests are subjected to smelly, humid and hazardous conditions since not only will their own bathroom odors and steam not clear, but stale air from other bathrooms on their floor can enter their bathroom due to pressure differentials within the building (since all bathrooms on the floor are connected to a common exhaust duct).

This is completely unacceptable. The hotel is NOT permitted to turn off the central bathroom ventilation system whenever they choose...it is required by the building code to be operational 24x7.

I wish that before I decided to stay here I had noticed the reviews from other guests complaining about unpleasant odors as well as cigarette or cannabis smoke entering their rooms through bathroom grilles.

Apart from the deplorable bathroom exhaust situation, I had some other thoughts to share. Overall this property consists of motel style buildings with outside corridors, but has a few much taller buildings than most motels (the building I was in had 10 stories). The furnishings were nicer than expected and I liked that the room included a refrigerator and a small microwave. There were lots of electrical outlets.

There is plenty of free parking and although there was a long line at the front desk when I checked in, it moved quickly. The AC was a typical noisy PTAC unit but it effectively cooled and heated the room (outside temps were 80s in the daytime and 50s at night during my stay). It could also be set for continuous fan operation to mask outside noise and avoid the annoyance of hearing it constantly cycling.

On the negative side, the shower curtain smelled very bad (it probably never fully dries out due to the bad ventilation). It was hard to make the room dark since the curtains were too short for the window and a lot of light came in beneath them. I also had to choose between natural light or privacy since rooms open onto a common outside corridor and the sheer curtains were very see-through, so I wound up keeping the blackout curtains closed all the time.

I would not choose to stay here again since it’s obvious from the disgusting bathroom exhaust situation that hotel management doesn’t care about guest comfort or building code compliance.

This hotel was very good value, you get toiletries, Coffee 1 cup machine, fridge, microwave, safe and free wifi at no extra charge. Lovely clean rooms with great comfy beds. All the staff were very friendly and helpful across the whole site. Location was super, and right outside the hotel was bus stops if you do not have a car. Buses were very clean and reasonable priced. It is very handy to have a 24 hour shop on site for things you might have forgotten, and if you need something to eat. Three very clean pools, nice children's play area, and pool tables and games room for teens. Security guard on duty 24/7 when you enter the parking lot, and on foot security guards walk every floor, felt very safe. We will definitely go back to this hotel, loved it, and would recommend to our friends

Rosen inn at pointe Orlando is a complete hidden gem for Brits. The staff/check inn is much better than many other 3,4 and 5 star hotels in Orlando. The staff are polite, hard working and ensure the rooms are super clean. We have been staying here as our base for Disney holidays for the last 12 years, it is great value for money, lots of onsite amenities and perfect for couples or families. We will continue to stay here each year, parking is free, you feel safe/secure and there is no ridiculous resort fee. They don’t take a ridiculous deposit either and offer free transport to the shops, Disney and universal. Great food/drink options onsite, a kiddies park, 3 pools and a games rooms. We will stay again as it is around £800-£1000 for 2 weeks, we can then afford to fly premium and have 2 nights in a 5 star hotel to utilise express passes. The are always renovating rooms, with new beds, each room has its own fridge and microwave, most hotels charge extra for these. We stayed in room 2106 from 25 th Feb to 10 th March, we would recommend as this is newly renovated and close to the shop/reception/restaurants. They also have disability friendly rooms too. 😊

We chose the Rosen Inn as we visited Orlando without a car.
The location was excellent. On International Drive with a trolley stop right outside & free transfers to Universal theme park.
We love to walk and found a Wal-Mart 40 mins away. This was great as International Drive & the little on-site supermarket were an absolute rip off.
We also used the Lynx buses a lot to get to Florida Mall & further afield.
The on-site restaurant was Ok but i certanly wouldn't have used it if i wasnt staying there. We had breakfast a few times, but always felt as if we had outstayed our welcome, The Staff made us feel very uncomfortable, especially if you went back up for seconds, even though it was a buffet!!
Our room was very dark & unwelcoming and we thought the carpet felt damp. However, the room was cool and we didn't need to use the Aircon too much (which was good because it sounded like an aircraft!!) but a lick of white paint and some light furniture would transform the rooms completely.
The housekeeping staff were excellent & although we live clean anyway, our room was always cleaned to a high standard.
The room was large with a separate bathroom. The fridge & microwave were invaluable to us as we didn't want to eat out all of the time.
it was too cold for us to use the pools while we were there but they looked nice enough.
The transfers to Universal were great for us with a seperate desk for booking a space, as well as other tourist information and the staff were always very helpful.

Initially we were disappointed with the hotel which looked like a dark dismal motel ( not a hotel as all rooms face onto open corridors). Rooms were also dark and dismal. However, everything was clean and we received daily cleaning and towels. Having complementary pool towels was also a bonus.
Prices in the bar, restaurant and shops were high and therefore we mostly drank and ate elsewhere.
On the positive side car parking is free and there are no resort fees unlike many other hotels in Orlando.
Breakfast was OK with lots of food choices but dinner was disappointing.

This is the third time staying at this complex. Check-in was seamless and we were allocated a room in block f, which was a quieter part of the hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff were in every day to clean. We had a problem with the shower which was fixed quickly. There were a lot of security staff around which made us feel safer. This hotel is across the road from the Pointe and all the busses stop outside. Any interaction with the staff was courteous and friendly.
