The room was damp, our socks were wet by the time we walked over to the balcony. It was humid wet. The room was small and the bathroom was also tiny. The decor was dark and it was not luxurious at all. However seeing the giraffes on our balcony was pretty cool. The staff, restaurants, activities, offered as well as...

Rather than a cruise we took my octogenarian mother to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for her birthday. For us, it did not require any air travel, was close to home, had exceptional food, walking was limited (could get a wheel chair when needed), and she loves watching African animals. We did book very early for a room overlooking the savanna...

So, I decided to take my mom on a trip to Disney World. This was my 5th time and her 6th time going. It was also our first time staying at a deluxe resort and it did not meet our expectations. The decorations are nice and the staff are nice, but nothing else seems "deluxe" about it. Upon our arrival...

Stayed here with my family over the summer! When you walk in, there is the proper wow factor, the lobby is spectacular! The pool area is great, and just amazing to be amongst the animals whilst sun bathing! I couldn't imagine staying here without a Savannah room. Waking up and seeing the giraffes and zebra was just unbelievable. The food...

Stayed here recently for our two week holiday and loved it! Could see the animals from the balcony which was a great way to relax after a long day in the parks or for a mid afternoon chill. Really enjoyed the hotel and cosy feel of the hotel. Great quick service options but boma gets extremely busy especially in the...

I stayed this past Summer. When we arrived they did not have a wheelchair available for my mother; they soon assigned a room too far, when we opened the door, the room was really smelly, humid like. The rooms are not fancy, nothing special for the price. They switched us over to another room even further and the room was...

Stayed here in September. Although I live in Orlando I enjoy short stays at WDW properties. It makes visiting the parks more enjoyable. I have stayed at All Star several times and Coronado Springs once. I do not feel mid range WDW properties are worth worth extra dollars. However, AKL was worth every cent! Pool, restaurants, service.... most of all...

We got a good rate from Tripadvisor and stayed at a room with a view of giraffes, zebras and other animals. The room was at the end of the hall (a little walking), but it worths because its view faces the gate where the animals wait for going to their location, so they all waited there in the morning!!!

It started when my wrist band did not have my name on it when everyone else did!! I little thing but it showed poor attention to detail. The it went bad from...

Hotel is HUGE but our room (1 queen and bunk beds) was very cramped. Had to stand to one side to close bathroom door! Lovely decor. Wonderful balcony view of animals! Saw zebras, giraffes and some other animals almost every time we looked out. Nighttime animal viewing available with night goggles. Excellent dinner buffet! Cafeteria-style restaurant very overpriced and food...
