The Orlando World Center Marriott boasts spacious and comfortable rooms, albeit with some concerns about cleanliness, noise, and dated aspects. While service receives mixed reviews, from commendable staff attentiveness to occasional slow response times, many guests commend the hotel's overall cleanliness and efficient housekeeping. Despite a lively atmosphere, the ambiance is marred by outdated decor and intrusive noise levels. Visitors often find the additional costs for parking, dining, and resort fees disproportionate to the perceived value. Nevertheless, the array of amenities, especially the waterpark, and the hotel's proximity to attractions, are highlights for many travelers.

I’ve stayed in this hotel many times due to its fantastic location and great facilities. It’s so easy to access all of the main tourist attractions without getting stuck in the I4 traffic. There are some great restaurants on site, including a Starbucks, and the pool areas really are fantastic with lots of activities for younger children.

I’m currently staying in this hotel, and the only disappointment is that requesting a one hour late checkout (yes- a whole 1 hour!!!) incurs an incredible fee of $50, this would equate to a daily room rate of $1200! Seems an unreasonable oncost considering the vast sum that I have just spent in this hotel on drinks, restaurants, Parking, resort fees during a 7 days stay. As a Bonvoy member, I would expect better service than this but the manager on reception will not budge. Even when I explained that we have experienced quite a disappointing housekeeping service over the last 7 days, often our room not being cleaned until 5:30 pm which was very inconvenient. On one occasion the reception staff advised that they would immediately get our room cleaned (after complaining at 430pm) but this actually did not happen, and we were we were kept out of our room for almost two hours waiting for the room to be cleaned. Still no-one came. So on the basis of which this hotel operates, the hotel owes me $100 for excluding me from my room lol.

Left a bad taste unfortunately as the manager just told me that there are many rooms to clean…. which is not my problem!!!

If you stay at this hotel, I recommend that you contact reception and let them know when you want your room cleaned. Otherwise you are at the mercy of them working until 7 pm cleaning rooms.

This was our first stay at Orlando World Center Marriott and we're so glad we chose this hotel! We were celebrating our daughter's birthday with her first visit to Disney World. The hotel is within close proximity to each of the parks AND has its own waterpark for when we needed a break from the Disney parks.

The assistant front desk manager, Lorena Lebron, was so sweet in helping us make this first visit a fun and memorable family vacation. I am a Bonvoy Platinum Elite member and my husband is a Lifetime Gold Elite member. Lorena was able to upgrade us to the Two Bay Vista Suite which was very spacious with a dining area, living room with a pullout couch for our daughter to sleep on, a large balcony, a king bed in a separate room, and a nice bathroom. My husband and I like to sleep cold and that AC definitely did the trick. We were very comfortable the entire stay.

When we arrived at the hotel, the staff was very nice, check in was quick and easy. They gave my daughter a cute little bag with some toys for a welcome/birthday gift! We were also greeted in the room with a little stuffed animal, drinks, and cookies.

We decided to do the valet parking which was a little bit more than the self parking because self parking seemed like a very far walk (they also have a shuttle service) and too much after a long day at the park. This was totally worth it because we would just call down or use the app to request the car be pulled up to the front and it would be ready for us before we got down to the valet area.

Because of our Bonvoy status, we were given the choice of 1,000 points or the continental breakfast each morning. We chose the continental breakfast and for 2 of the mornings, added the hot breakfast for $10 per person (our daughter was free since she's still 3). Breakfast was very good, they had a great selection and the fruit was very fresh and delicious every morning.

We decided to check out the pool/waterpark areas one morning and we're honestly so happy we slowed down from the parks and enjoyed the pool. I'm really bummed we didn't get the lifeguards names because they were very friendly and helpful when we got a little lost and had some questions about when everything opened/closed. Our daughter LOVED the kid splash area, especially the little slide which she could not get enough of. It was a cool layout because the splash area was up a few flights of stairs and you could overlook other areas. They had great music playing just loud enough too. The lazy river was a fun and relaxing place to explore as well. Looking forward to exploring the main pool next time since it was closed this weekend for maintenance, but we expected this as the hotel let us know in multiple ways ahead of time.

Overall, we felt very comfortable here, the staff from the front desk to the restaurants to the pool were all friendly and accommodating. There are so many amenities to take advantage of, especially the pool/waterpark areas. We hope to be back soon!!

The only thing I didn’t like was the loud music all night I was staying in the East Tower but couldn’t sleep that well but other than that I had a great stay! Checking in on the app was easy and I was happy my room was ready early! I also like how the app can unlock the door so you don’t need to have a room key to open it except for the parking which they charge $30 a night. At the parking garage they do have shuttles that can drive you from the garage to main lobby because this resort is huge and it’s 24/7! Everyone at this resort has been helpful and friendly like Calvin the shuttle driver to the girls at front desk and the girl at the pantry. My room was lovely and clean and I like how on the app you can request things you need like towels and more very convenient so I don’t need to call. I like how the pools were heated because in January it does get chilly in Florida. I enjoyed the water park, lazy river, jacuzzi and pools! I also like how this resort is close to Disney like 10 mins away and they do have a shuttle that can take you there! I also ate at the Mikado restaurant for dinner which was delicious!

I am a titanium Marriott member. I have stayed in marriotts 100 nights this year. I know marriotts inside and out, and this is by far the worst one I have been in.

Does it shine on the surface? Yes. It looks fancy. Is the water park good? When it’s open, in its very limited hours, yes. That’s where the good ends.

I called ahead not once, but twice, and asked there be no scent sprayed in our room for health reasons. We arrive at 10 pm to a scented room. I call the front desk and they inform me no one can remake the beds, and being an old ratty blanket and a sheet for me to use until morning. This would never happen at even the most basic of Fairfield’s and is ridiculous at a full service marriott.

The hot breakfast the next morning was 30$ and literally inedible. The powdered eggs tasted like powder. I’m not sure what the heck they put on their potatoes, but they tasted like a swimming pool. No one in our family could eat and we had to go to chick fil a.

The mattresses in the room were hard as a rock, and you’re just as well off sleeping on the floor.

Nearly every staff member I talked to at the front desk was rude.

After we got the beds remade scent free we did not want housekeeping to come back in. We went downstairs and requested a privacy sign as our room was missing one. They assured us they would send one up. Well, we return to housekeeping having been in our room, and my sons very expensive swim suit was missing. We assume housekeeping accidentally grabbed it when they were cleaning. Yet the hotel claims it was not in the laundry. They did almost nothing to make this stay right, didn’t even credit us the cost of the swimsuit.

On checkout they charged us for missing towel, even though we used our own from home. This hotel will scam you and charge you for everything and lose (or steal, idk) your belongings. Beware! This stay was so bad it is enough to make me want to abandon Marriott altogether and switch to Hilton.

Stayed 11 nights over Christmas and New Year with the family - wife, 3 kids aged 8, 12 and 14, and my mother. It’s an enormous hotel but actually quite easy to navigate. The pool is big and has enough space and loungers even when the hotel is at full occupancy as it was for most of our stay. The “water park” is decent - I put that in inverted commas as it’s three slides (with another three by the main pool) and a small lazy river so I found it a bit oversold but the kids enjoyed it. The shuttle buses to Disney are a bonus, though you do pay for them whether you like it or not through the high resort fee.

Now the niggles -

- The service is just plain poor. I asked three people the same basic question about the bus to Disney Springs and got three different answers. The staff are generally surprisingly unsmiling, with the exception of a couple of ladies at reception who brought up the average

- Checkout was a nightmare experience. They charged us a daily parking charge even though we had no car. They added an extra person charge for a fictional guest over 18. “A new computer system” whatever that means. It took an age to resolve to the point we had to just leave for the airport before it was fixed. An apology would have been welcome

- The hotel map and signs in the hotel indicate tennis courts but I only found out when I arrived that we needn’t have brought our rackets

- The rooms were not dusted well, shabby balcony furniture and had paint flaking. See photo

- The perks for a lifetime Platinum member are really poor compared to other family holidays I have had in Bonvoy hotels globally. No lounge (“because we have several restaurants”), only continental (not full buffet) breakfast for two people from our party of six across three rooms, nothing else to speak of

- We had two nights when the people in the room opposite us made a huge amount of noise at 1am, shouting and banging doors. When I raised it to the guy on reception (who I won’t name) they refused to do anything about it other than we should call security if it happens. Raising it with the guests “may upset them” (well how about the existing upset guests?) Thankfully they checked out before us. An apology would have been a start, perhaps some small gesture to compensate for not being able to move us to a quieter room as the hotel was full

- The water park and slides for some reason shut at 5pm. That means if you have a day out you don’t have the chance to enjoy it in the late afternoon / early evening. Which grates when they are charging you over $50/day resort fee.

Would I return? Probably not. On balance it is not a bad hotel but I expected more.

I stayed here at a v large conference.
Was based in the East tower (easily the most convenient location for conference facilities).

As I have now stayed here a few times, some generic comments:

1. In the east tower, if you face the "entrance", the rooms tend to be noisy from the generators and do not have a pleasant smell.
2. This hotel really feels like a large 3 star, given a four star because of its size and facilities. It isn't particularly nice. It is a factory.
3. The pantry is useful although it gets boring quickly!
4. Breakfast, they bought me the wrong omelette order, which contained bacon when I don't eat meat. The manager came, took responsibility and comped the breakfast, but it is pretty rubbish anyway.
5. I don't particularly like the breakfast there, it is nothing special but is functional.
6. I suppose there is an attraction in the water park (didn't use) if staying with families and the pool area is quite big.
7. Do not expect any luxury feel whatsoever. It is a large factory.

This is the largest Marriott in the world! Who knew??!! We were very happy with our stay at this property. Rooms were clean and modern, and the beds were very comfy, although the pillows were flat. Our room had a balcony, but we didn't really use it as the noise from the heating/cooling units below was quite loud (and we were on the 27th floor). We loved that there were so many restaurants to choose from when we got back from busy days at the theme parks. The Italian and the Steakhouse were both really great, with very good service. The sports bar was good, but nothing special. The Pantry downstairs was convenient. You could get decently priced snacks and breakfast bars to take up to the room, or you could get cafeteria type hot foods as well. There were a couple of stores that had a good selection of items, but they were ridiculously overpriced. There is a nice walking/jogging trail around the property that we took advantage of. The pools are large, but it was very chilly when we were there and we didn't make use of the waterslides or lazy river. The only negatives we experienced during our stay were the service at the pool bar (it was slow and inattentive and the staff didn't seem to care) and the line ups at the front desk. Even as a gold elite member, the line up to check in or make a request was usually 15-30 minutes. Sometimes the regular line up moved quicker, but it was also always very long. It was a very busy time at the resort over the holidays, but they definitely needed more staff at reception. This hotel is about 10-15 minute Uber ride from each of the Disney parks. The hotel does offer shuttle service, although we didn't utilize it.

This hotel should first change their name to be ORLANDO 3rd World Marriot .
When we entered our room there was a moth the size of a hummingbird , the hotel staff didn’t seem to be disturbed by this surprise .
Second this hotel is over rated deserves only a 1 star hotel rating .
Second the pictures don’t justify what the rooms actually look like .
Third once you get to the pool the chairs next to the pool are for rent and not free like most hotels that charge a resort fee .
The pool chairs that are free are so far away from the pool you cannot see the pool . Once you get to walk in to pool the water was very very cold .
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone .
Please look elsewhere in Orlando there are many more options at better pricing .
Once I presented this to the reservation manager she refused to offer a compensation for my troubles . Beware

This was a surprise three day trip with our children to kick off their spring break. From the moment we walked in the front doors, we were very impressed. The lobby was beautiful. At check in, we were greeted by Hutchings who was absolutely wonderful. He told us all we needed to know about the hotel, made us feel very welcome, interacted with our children and even gave us a couple of options for room selection. Actually, he asked the kids to choose since it was "their weekend" (nice touch). Anthony, from the bell stand offered to take our bags to our room. He was very friendly and kind. Upon arrival at the room, he set the bags where ny wife wanted them and even took the time to go fill our ice bucket while we unpacked a bit. Wow!
The next morning, we had breakfast and we're served by Sukraj, another gem on your team. He asked where we were from, what brought us to your hotel, etc. He was friendly, attentive and very kind. So much so that we asked to sit in his section this morning as well. We spent most of Friday at the pool. Michael was our server out there and did an excellent job taking care of us.
Dinner last night, was at Mikado. We were served by Randy and Hung was our hibachi chef. It was another spectacular experience as they were both fantastic! On the way back from dinner we stopped at the bar in the lobby for a quick drink. Rob was our bartender and although our drink order wasn't complicated, it was specific. Rob made my Hendricks cocktail absolutely perfectly and with a smile. He even added his own twist and that made it even better. The entire interaction with Rob only took a few minutes, but he made a lasting impression.
I want to close with this. This hotel is everything we wanted and more. The beautiful property, the first class accommodations, incredible food and drinks, and a world class team making it all work. This is officially our new Orlando getaway location and we cannot wait to return!

Stayed here for a large Conference and the hotel was immediately sold out. I then booked when I found out that a room opened up when an attendee had to cancel due to Covid. The management team would not honor the Conference daily rate of 299 even when the room was originally booked at that rate. They instead inflated the rate to 587, thus taking advantage of the situation. Disappointing experience overall especially when the basic room cleaning standards day to day were not adhered to, for example, waters were not restocked, and the room was not tidied up properly each day. Also disappointing that some of the restaurants could not handle the volume and lunch hours had very long wait times making it impossible to have a sit down lunch and return to the conference on time. Certainly not a 587 dollar a night experience.

No, it is not. You can just go down to the pool and see it.

I would imagine your comfort would be based on the room you book. Make sure that you disclose the number of kids though so you get enough wrist bands as yes you will need them for the pool!
