We have been to Orlando every year for the past few years and we always stay at Shades. We cannot beat the price (we always price alternate Disney properties), the rooms are very large, the food and amenities are fabulous, and the staff is always very friendly. This year there were several staff members who made our visit particularly enjoyable:...

We stayed at the Shades of Green for the first time. The rooms are very spacious and the staff are friendly. The buses run on schedule to Disney and the grounds are very well maintained. We loved staying here. Can't beat the price.

Love Shades of Green. Comfortable, friendly staff, clean property and rooms, super staff. Restaurants good. Pools for those who use them. Cafe's excellent! I asked for a room that I could view fireworks at night from, but being full, I guess, didn't get it. Room 5116 was on lagoon side but after a curve in Palm wing causing fireworks to...

The Shades of Green is the best hotel on Disney property. I have stayed in a number of different Disney hotels at Disney world and Shades just does it all Better! The hotel is relaxed and uncrowded. The restaurants are very good. The amenities are top notch. You just can't find a better place. If you golf, take advantage of...

We did not actually stay at the resort, however, we heard about the discounted attraction tickets offered for military that are sold here. We were able to park for free at the resort, purchase our military discounted tickets (my son is active military, and he could purchase for all 4 of us, saving ~ $35 each for a 1 day...

Have stayed here so many times. When you compare rates with anywhere else - remember that IS the final price for Shades. No taxes, no resort fees, and $7 a night to park. It is clean, beautiful and the restaurants are good - same deal on restaurant prices with no tax. There is a tiny PX, Spa, 2 swimming pools,...

This was my fifth visit to WDW and the first time staying in the Shades of Green. I have been at 2 Disney value resorts and one deluxe, but the SOG is by far the best bang for your buck. I had a beautiful standard room in the Palm wing with a double vanity and separate toilet/shower that was perfect...

Palm and Magnolia wings are named for golf courses that border SOG, watch for alligator, turkeys, and peacocks that roam, two swimming pools & a hot tub on site (10a-10p), walking paths by mini ponds, and the grounds were wonderfully manicured. A huge lobby inside and out with fire burning in the fireplaces on both sides; this proved to be...

We stayed March 4-11, 2017. The resort is wonderful. We stay in a renovated room which was a little further from the pools but only a short walk. The lobby is rustic and inviting especially with the fireplace, plenty of seating to relax. We only visited the Mickey shaped pool and kids water play area since we have two boys...
