A complete waste of money with false advertising, nothing close to whats shown in the photos on the website. In desperate need of care and maintenance by the owners. Trout fishing almost non-existent. Only viable as mountain biking venue alone.

We went to Misty Valley Lodge for New Years. Having been there twice before (albeit five years ago), we were expecting the same glorious place we've experienced previously. What a disappointment!! Our aim was primarily to do the mountain bike trails and some fly fishing. The trails are so overgrown and unkept they are positively unsafe! And no water in...

We went to this place wanting a memorable time for a 40th birthday - what a disappointment! The rooms are old and beds are terrible. The bathrooms are so small and the water pressure is non- existent. The shower base is cracked is certain rooms and the overall appearance is disappointing. This is low cost housing bathrooms facilities - not...

This place is definitely not for kids even though it's been advertised. The cost of the restaurant is also over priced. No ambiance what's so ever. 😞 Accommodation is nice but the facilities are in terrible condition. Would recommend it for a group of friends that want to get drunk around a braai . Very disappointing.

We booked into this lodge expecting 4 Star accommodation. The place is totally dilapidated. Pillows are old, towels are old, couches are old, DSTV and TV remotes only had a few buttons which worked, which meant using the buttons on the DSTV decoder to find and select channels. My wife and I woke up on the first night to a...

We were not happy at all when arriving at Misty Valley Lodge on Friday 31 July - the resort looked worn out and unkept. The tennis court was broken to pieces and the trout dam was low and dirty. It was the coldest of days and we were shown to our log cabin that was colder inside than outside. There...

This place seriously needs some maintenance, and sooner rather than later. Jacuzzi, sauna, indoor pool, pool table, tennis court and the game drive vehicle are all out of order. All the accolades on the wall are more than 5 years old. Not worth the effort, avoid.

We recently visited this establishment, which was graded as 4 stars. The staff were among the best I have ever dealt with. However, everything else is 2 stars, if I am being generous! We paid upfront, which was a huge mistake. The chalet was comfortable, but run-down and neglected. The website promises a tennis court, but it has no net....

We spent a most horrible long weekend at this establishment and was completely disappointed. The lodge is advertised as a 4 star resort but I am shocked the AA let's them keep this rating. At best it was a 1 star lodge. The attached pictures will give you a good visual indication of why I say that. The lodge was...

This us about expectations. If you expecting four stars as advertised, then you are going to be disappointed. The place is rustic, a little run down but not as terrible as some reviews. The staff here deserve a mention. Lucky the barman and Mary at reception really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The place is...
