Detailed Reviews
We rented Cottage #5 and were pleased with the location and how very clean it was. All kitchen utensils were present and had everything we needed. Couch, chairs and beds were comfortable. Good thing we made it there before closing at 5PM, as our cottage was locked and there was no key in the open Lock Box. There was absolutely no information about anything in the room at all, except for the Wi-fi password. Nothing about any restaurants, tours, beaches, or even that the Bait and Tackle was closed for renovations. We stayed for 9 days and it wasn't until day #7 we found there was an ice machine we could use. No one asked how our stay was going or if they could assist with anything. I did voice my concerns to Royal Shell and the manager at Jensen's did call me back and offered a discount on a Boat Rental or Island Tour. We were able to rent a fishing pole after we called and asked if any were available. We have been to many places, but can honestly say this is the first time we have rented a room/cottage that had NO information about ANYTHING related to the property in the room. Restaurants, store and beach all within short, easy walking distance.

We took the pontoon out for a 930 to 330 day with another family we were traveling with. We had a blast!!
Really nice intro and safety talk as well as lots of pointers of where to go and what to do from the dock master. We rented a fishing pole and fished on the shores of cayo Costa, had a beer and a burger at cabbage key, and tooled around enjoying this beautiful paradise
Tips
We had a nice calm day, we were going to do it earlier in the week but waited for the wind to die down and it was perfection
Renting the fishing pole with shrimp for bait from the marina was really perfect
They sell ice right at the marina and there is a cooler on the pontoon so bring lots of goodies
Cabbage Key Restaurant is a must see but save yourself 100 bucks and just have a beer at the bar rather than get an overpriced average burger. The place is an amazing piece of history and definitely worth a stop but I wouldn’t get the burger if I went back
Bring a portable speaker so you can play some toons on the boat

Perfectly located on the bay with easy access to local restaurants and a short walk to the beach this place is worth a visit. Wether booking to stay here on your vacation, renting a boating or just looking at the majestic manatees, the staff is very welcoming to everyone.
Below is a photo taken on their dock at sunrise, also photos of the frequently visiting manatees. Though I was not staying here....next time I certainly will.

We went to the marina on Tuesday and looked at boats. Decided on renting a boat for a full day trip while we were there. Very nice guy secured our rental for us for Friday. Had a great day on the water. The boat was great! However the price we were quoted was not the price they ultimately charged us for our full day rental. We were given a verbal quote (because the boat we rented was not on their webpage) and didn’t think twice about it until we were charged much more for our rental than we were initially quoted. My husband called and no one returned his call. Called again and spoke with someone that basically said too bad, nothing we can do, someone gave you the wrong quote… you have to pay the higher price. Very frustrating and disappointing because everyone seemed so nice and helpful… but for the reason of being overcharged I give them a poor review. Make sure you get your rental agreement IN WRITING otherwise they can/will overcharge you. We will definitely not rent from this marina next summer and would not recommend them to friends/family.

We rented a boat in April 2022 for a very special event with my daughters so that they could spread their father's ashes at the pass where they grew up fishing and boating with him for many years. The staff was extremely friendly and nice, but the boat was not in the best condition. We had planned the entire day carefully so that we could remake old memories. The final part of our day was to go to Tween Waters for lunch, some frozen drinks and a dip in the pool. We were about 15 minutes away when our boat died. My fiance was very familiar with boats, as was I since I owned a boat business for years. After checking everything we determined we had run out of gas!!! We still had 2 more hours to go on our half day rental! We called the marina and they finally sent out their crew with gas. Their container leaked gas all over the boat! Then they commented that this was the third time that week that one of their employees did not fill up the tank completely!!! Seriously. Needless to say it ruined a very special day for our family. And to add insult to injury we had to pay for the "extra gas" they brought out to us and also a huge day pass fee to Tween Waters since we came with 3 cars and not one boat! We won't be back again.

Whenever we go to Captiva, we always go to Jensen's and rent a boat to go island hopping. The guys that work there have been there for forever and they are the nicest guys in the world! They are always friendly and so helpful and just so nice to do business with. I wish everyone in Captiva was as nice as they are. Everyone there is the salt of the earth and this time, they made our trip. We had some bad experiences elsewhere, but these guys never disappoint! Keep us the good work guys!!

We rented a boat last year and was so impressed that we did it again this year. My family was pretty let down this year and frustrated with the staff. We were the 1st to arrive and we were told to wait at the table for instructions and we waited 45 minutes while the guy waited on 2 other families first who arrived AFTER us. Then, the guy helping us load our stuff on the boat did not explain the boat very well and we had to figure things out on our own. The boat was not very good either. It had no power and the anchor did not work. Our time was cut short because of rain and we were told we would get pro-rated if that happened. They attempted to charge us for that time we had to sit and wait before we even got onto the water. I had to remind them of that. Customer service is seriously lacking this year. We are disappointed 😞

Our room was ready and spotlessly clean when we arrived. We stayed in #15. #15 has no dedicated outdoor space, but there is plenty of space in the common area near the dock. The bed was comfortable. A/C worked well.
We had manatees at the dock every day we were there. They are so much fun to observe.
There are fishing boats coming and going all day, but they are fun to watch and it never feels crowded. After six the dock is restricted to guests. I sat at the end of the dock and watched the bay turn pink as the sun went down. Birds and manatees all around.
Easy walk to the beach and resturants. Helpful staff. Beach chairs and beach towels provided. Highly recommended.

Today we rented a water taxi for 6 hours out of Jensens Marina. Paul was our captain and he was awesome. We wanted a chill day on the water, shelling, eating at cabbage key and dolphin watching. He also had some fun suggestions and great stories and history about the area. We would highly recommend renting from them. The staff was also great to book with and everyone was relaxed and helpful.

Not certain as to the fuel- bit here is the way to contact the marina to get th answer to your question & the current price. Best Wishes. Carolyn Bistlne
There are nice cottages but realty no beach at the marina you would have to go to a public beach. Try south seas plantation. Make sure to visit the bubble room, your grandchildren will love it.
