This was our first time staying at The Beachcomber and we are already planning a return visit with family. It is in the perfect location on the south end of the island for a quiet, low-key, uncrowded place to stay located between Venice and Sarasota. The on-site hosts are personable, friendly, caring and do a great job maintaining their property. We were in apartment 7, upstairs, overlooking the water. The location was fabulous! Beautiful sunsets, quiet beach, right on the water, lots of shells. The apartment was tastefully decorated, extremely clean (even inside the cupboards). The kitchen was well equipped, organized and all the appliances worked well. Beds and furniture were all comfortable. We had our own dedicated parking spot and free access to a new HE Washer and Dryer. Beach equipment was available to all guests. Downtown Venice is 10 minutes by car. Sarasota is 25 minutes away. North Jetty Park/Beach and Nokomis Public Beach (and weekly drum circle) are an easy walk by beach or road. We rented bikes and rode Casey Key Road all the way north three times - what a fantastic ride with gorgeous views! The perfect place in a perfect location with great hosts. It doesn't get much better than this!

With travel limited due to Covid, we decided to do a local staycation. Could not have been more pleased, room right on the beautiful beach, rooms so comfy, grill on site. You can tell the owners take great pride in the hotel, rooms spotless, checked with us several times to how we were doing. It was so nice to have the outdoor area for dinner/ drinks & watch the sunset. They have really thought of everything, kitchen well stocked, plenty of towels, they even have beach chairs available.Grocery store, restaurants near by, great location, but far removed from traffic & beach isn’t packed with people as the hotel beach appears to be private. I highly recommend the hotel. Will definitely return !!,

Dear Kim P, It's always great to meet new Beachcombers, especially local ones! Although Covid-19 has changed all our lives, it's been our pleasure to provide a safe, clean environment for guests to de-stress and get away from their daily challenges. We look forward to seeing you again, hopefully, in the non-Covid future!

Have been visiting The Beachcomber for nearly 10 years. The spot and the people have all become very dear to my heart. The owners have become friends, their care and attention to all important details are impeccable. Always spotlessly clean, thoughtfully attended to inside and out.

Dear tdwightevans, As most everyone is aware, the hospitality industry has been devastated as a result of Covid-19. So, as we try to adapt to our new normal and await the return of our guests, we are so very grateful for support & positive messages from Beachcomber regulars like yourself. Rest assured that our normally strict cleaning procedures have gotten even stricter and that we are using this quiet time to prepare the resort for a happy future.

My wife and I recently had to make a change to our vacation schedule due to the lock down of travelers in the Florida Keys. We did some extensive research to fit our needs as we like to bring a boat and enjoy being on the water. Our "must haves" are clean, boat ramp, and dockage. All three checked and made the call to the office and booked it. Upon arrival we met the owners who live on site and you can instantly tell they take great pride in their slice of heaven and love sharing it with their guests. The property was immaculate and well maintained. We stayed in the South Villa and it was way more impressive than what we were expecting. The sunsets on the beach were a bonus for us as we spent each evening relaxing with a cold beverage and visiting with some new friends. This location was less than three hours from our home in central Florida and we can see ourselves visiting often. As my wife and I drove home a lot of the conversation was when are we going back. We are looking forward to visiting again soon.

Tekla and Robert are the best innkeepers on the key. Every detail is anticipated and accommodated. Units are impeccably clean - I have never seen a speck of dust or grain of sand in one of their properties that we didn't put there ourselves. The location is perfect from its proximity to the beach and to other attractions - lots to do in the area. Nice meeting up with other travelers who have become friends because they too return every year at the same time.

Just a wonderful place. Right on Nokomis Beach, but far enough away from the public beach to have privicy. The rental apartments are really nice, uniquely and tastefully furnished. Onsite ownership/management pays attention to detail and work at a pleasant stay. This is the place to be on Casey Key. Pour slowly.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Everything was excellent. From the covered patio to the comfortable bed, the apartment was very nicely furnished. The kitchen was fully equipped from the coffee maker to all the dishes, utensils, and cookware you could possibly need. The whole apartment was immaculate. The grounds were perfectly manicured and clean. The many, many palm trees and other beautiful plants created a totally tropical atmosphere. We have been staying in the Casey Key area for some years and this was our first stay at The Beachcomber. As for the service, we’ve experienced none better. The owners, Robert and Tekla, were around every day and always so willing to attend to our needs promptly. They treated us like family. We will definitely come back very soon.

I have been welcomed at the Beachcomber for the past four years, and this year my sister and longtime friend were enamored by the ambience of our old Florida-style beach bungalow located on Nokomis Beach. Our host and hostess (Robert and Tekla) left no leaf unturned from our lodging to the landscaping (even beach chairs and umbrellas are supplied). The Beachcomber is my “go to” place in Florida to decompress and enjoy “paradise” at its best.

My wife and I were fortunate to stay three nights at this gem. Our efficiency was close to the unit where our friends stay. They have been coming back for a few years. Our unit in the Old Florida section was steps to the beach and our friends' unit was on the Intercoastal Inlet. The units are perfectly appointed in every detail. Even the small details of handmade soap at the sinks and every kitchen tool we might need showed that the owners really care about making a stay with them special.
Our efficiency unit had a beautifully painted mural on the length of the wall, a small couch and a very cool table for two (the chairs nestled in under the table to save space). The owners are delightful and very knowledgeable about the local restaurants and sights. They even stock a small gift nook in the office with items made by local crafts people. We are looking forward to a return visit.

Sleeping well on a comfortable bed and pillows! Pretty quiet here, right down from the public Nokomis beach. Robert is very responsive to the point where we feel badly about mentioning a little thing, cuz he will get to it so quickly! He even brought us Valentine heart treats! How sweet is that? They really care for their properties, with attention to details. Everything appears to be in excellent condition and clean, despite it's age. The decor is "over the top" darling in our villa! It is just how I would have wanted it if I were to choose how it was to be done. They have full size refridgerator/freezers. However, not all of the units have dishwashers. There is a shared washer and dryer at $1.75 each, per load. Bring detergent.
Tips for staying: Bring your own coffee, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, an extention cord, and a nightlight, as they are not provided. However, they have kitchen utensils, serving ware, pans, a toaster, laundry baskets, towels, beach totes, chairs, umbrella's, books, cards, and other items to enhance your stay.

We were just there in May! First off, gorgeous place and wonderful owners. There is a small minimart not too far, also has a ice cream store that is to die for! There is a walmart and publix within a few miles. Mom and pop eating places, we tried 6, all fantastic. Tekla and Robert are great. You need to contact them on pricing! We already booked for next year! You won't regret this place, a little piece of heaven!

Hello Dcf42, Thank you very much for your inquiry. However, we do not have any single apartment with 3 bedrooms. Our largest unit, the "big Apt", is a 2bed/2bath. I looked at the schedule to see if there were 2 apartments that could be combined to accommodate your family, but we are almost fully booked for the Christmas holiday with only our efficiency & smallest 1 bedroom still available. Sorry. Enjoy your stay in our area. Tekla

Hello Lyle, Thank you so very much for your inquiry. I am not sure which "room" caught your attention specifically, however, the only apartments still available for your dates are #1 and #2. In May, #1 is $110/night + tax while #2 runs $140/night. Taxes are 12%. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions. Tekla
