I've paid less for better accommodations at other boutique and larger 4 and 5 star hotels. Other reviews read that they had recently renovated... well if the current state is considered renovated, I wonder what the place looked like before... The front courtyard is nice. The pool area is small but tranquil and probably the best area on the property....

Hotel Astor is just a few blocks from Miami Beach and the heart of South Beach, so the location is great. But I was more impressed with the service provided by the hotel staff. They were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful at every step. The property itself is small but well maintained. The pool area is small, but really nice...tilework, chairs,...

My friends and I stayed at the Astor from April 13 - 17. Check in took a bit longer than expected but we did have 2 rooms. The rooms we had were the family suite which were nice and spacious. The beds were comfy and the bathroom is a awesome size. The only thing I didn't like was that the...

My husband and I recently stayed for 5 days and nights with friends. The hotel was clean and simple. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. That's all we really require. That said, it was advertised as having several amenities that were either subpar or missing. There is a promise of breakfast items and coffee which amounted to a small, unimpressive...

We were only in town for 24 hours. Wanted to experience South Beach. Perfect choice. On the corner of a busy street, but it's an oasis. Lorena at the front desk was wonderful! She was helpful, kind, and beautiful! She made two restaurant suggestions that were fabulous. I will forever be a Cuban food lover after eating at Puerto Sagua...

Cute little boutique hotel! Very Art Deco, clean, friendly staffing! Short walking distance to Ocean Drive! Free bike rental to go explore the rest of Miami Beach! Breakfast is included (continental), its good! Pool is smaller size, but cute in the courtyard, almost always not busy.

During out trip we stayed in 4 different hotels and this was the worst. When we arrived to the hotel the lady at the reception was useless it took her about 20 minutes to check-in 2 people and not so nice! The room which we get was located somewehere under the stairs not even on the corridor. It was very...

Unfortunately very underwhelming. Cute boutique hotel with lots of charm overall but some elements were outdated. Outdoor furniture for example, around pool especially, old and dirty. The bar offered no beer (said the Beer company had not delivered), and TV in the bar was broken (could not watch The Masters!). Bartender typically not at his bar but rather chatting with...

We visit Sobe often & have terrible luck w/ hotels. We prefer small boutique hotels, of which there are many. The Astor is the 1st class in accommodations. The staff, on the otherhand, while friendly & cheerful, are kind of incompetent. Do not even bother with the restaurant. They are totally clueless.
