Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Obviously drug users knew the front door code to this unmanned hotel. Did not feel safe at all. Meth head with sores all over her body was zombie like on the couch in the front foyer. Didn’t want to find out if her or her friends knew my room entry number while I slept. I left immediately after calling a Uber. Stay clear. Back entrance had prostitutes hanging around right outside back door. This is my first bad review in all the years of reviewing trip advisor etc.

Horrific hotel!!!!!l. Everything was filthy, broken,. repulsive and inoperable!! The skunk smell of marijuana all over the disgusting old stained hotel rugs and through the vents INSTEAD of cold air made us ill. Poor/no TV signal , ***Toilet broken where we had to fill it manually each time and the worst part is: the front desk clerk was lazy, tired and boasted of his low energy and unwilingness to work and bluntly refused to do anything ??? Really??? The fridge was gross with a huge block of frosted ice and old food!! the filth stained carpet, curtains, bed and box- springs made us wanna puke!!. The maid only had to clean once and left us our dirty towels and gross old worn out towels with no soap, TP, etc, A WORD of advice to owner.. "UPDATE!!! your FILTHY broken non working hotel and then you EARN the right to charge competitive prices but how DARE you post rules up of all kinda broken hotel policy charges etc and have the nerve to charge patrons unfairly for filthy rooms from the 1950's???? ". Follow your own rules first and Lead by example!!!! This is not a hotel to be proud of but a DISGRACE!!!!! I want all my money Back!!! Baltic owners are thieves and liars!!!!

We knew this was a small, inexpensive hotel. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are small and old. The crazy thing though is that you cannot move from your room without the manager popping out of nowhere and checking on you. Our son, who lives in Miami came to our hotel so he could eat dinner with us. He rode his bike and chained it to the fence outside. He left right after dinner. The next day, the manager accused us of “having him stay overnight”. Absolutely false. She also said we should have asked her permission before he left his bike for two hours. Since we were only going to be there two nights, I let it slide. The next day, we were again visiting with our son on the little deck and she came up there apparently to see what we were doing (talking). We are in our 60’s and frankly too old to create any mischief. Be ready for some close “management” if you stay here.

I really don't want to leave a bad comment here but I think this would be for everyone else to know what they are about to get. The moment I arrived, the owner already made me feel like I'm not welcomed. I came in late due to delays on my flight and of course the first thing I wanted was to get to my room and get my self rested but really, she just made me feel worse. I really hated my stay. The facilities didn't lived up to their somewhat overly misleading advertisements. Breakfast was also horrible. I hated how cramped the bathroom was and that how it seems to not be cleaned. But really the worst part is the hospitality. I honestly have such a long tolerance towards all of their amenities but the way I felt and I was treated while I was there was just horrible. Would have still been grateful if it weren't for the owners bad attitude. This should be rated lower but

I think this is the first time I am leaving a negative comment for a hotel. The reason is simply that I had a terrible stay. First, I got there after 11 pm and even though I had called and informed her before that I'll get there late, her demeanor was just horrible. The building's (I wouldn't call it a hotel!!!) door was closed and I was shivering in the cold outside and knocking on the door. She finally showed up and was not even opening the door entirely, for a minute I thought she doesn't want to let me in!! She kept telling me that there is no room, I was scared and thought that she means the room I have booked, then I realized she means the parking. The most important reason why I chose this place was the free parking and once I got there I realized there is no free parking!!! She only has 3 spots behind her building which were already occupied, I had to park in the street and pay for it myself. Another thing that she brags about is her free breakfast. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!!! That was the most horrible breakfast I've ever had in my whole life. She simply gives you some old milk and cereals in small boxes and a tasteless coffee. The cereal was seriously old and I was worried while eating that. I was regretting getting the breakfast there right afterwards and hoped that I had eaten out. There is no table that you can sit behind and eat your breakfast, you have to sit on a dirty couch in her lobby. Rooms were not clean. I didn't feel comfortable sleeping on her sheets at all. The bathroom was so small and not cleaned properly. I remember that I read in one of comments here before that her towels are wet, I had a hard time believing that but then I saw for myself!! The towels were seriously wet, how to dry yourself with a wet towel??!!!!! She has a sign of "4" ranking on TripAdvisor on her reception desk but by the time I got there here ranking was for sure less than 4, still she was bragging about that old ranking to attract travelers. This is not ethical at all. Last but not least, it is not in a good location. It's close to A beach, true. But it's not the famous Miami Beach which is nearby. In order to get to popular Miami Beach and downtown, you have to drive. My suggestion to anyone who has this place in mind: run!!! spend more money and find a better place to enjoy your Miami experience, don't make my mistake.

We had to arrive late due to the flight schedule. We have tried to contact the owner with no luck….But when we reached the property she seemed pretty angry for our late arrival. The toilet was small, all the towels were wet. Although she is advertising free parking, at peak season she is not providing with any parking (I had to pay for my parking on the road). Looked like she sold her parking to other people. This is something unacceptable. I will try to avoid such rude person (who doubtfully managed to get some good reviews and kept bragging about that)

have stayed here five years in a row for Art Basel Miami Beach, five nights each time - I love it. it's affordable, Christina the proprietor is a scream, it's on the island yet beyond the tourist b******t so quieter than South Beach and near reasonably priced (not tourist priced) restaurants and services, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and it's directly across the street from the $2 southbound bus that goes down towards South Beach so you save taxi fare in at least one if not both directions (miami buses are surprisingly good)

We had a lovely experience here. Comfortable, quiet and convenient for walking the area and very close to the beach! Off street parking is provided for free and building kept locked. Christine is a wealth of information and eager to please. If you rent directly through her website you may be given a discount. The breakfast is continental but gets you going in the am. We were on the first floor and could hear conversation going on in the lobby.

We are in room 2 and you can hear absolutely everything that is going on in the lobby and Christina does not try to keep her voice down at all. Additionally, there is no blanket on the bed or in the room. Lastly, if you like to sleep in the dark, don't bother coming here. The curtains don't block out any of the streetlight. Between the light and the noise, my husband I did not sleep at all. Additionally, there are laundry facilities advertised. When we got here yesterday at approximately 4 p.m., we were told that we would not be able to do any laundry either that day or today as Christina was busy using the machines herself. Don't advertise laundry facilities unless you were going to provide them to your paying customers.
