We stayed for 11 nights and thought it really nice. The staff was always kind and helpful. The room was old and a bit torn ( it is an old nice art deco building) but it was always very clean. There is a nice pool as well, always clean! In the outside kitchen you can cook your meals. You store...

Stayed with my 10-year old daughter at the Tropics Hotel & Hostel between Dec 29, 2016 and Jan 5, 2017 and all was perfect. We didn't pay an extravagant price so without expecting a lot of perks and 5-star amenities, we were quite happy. Firstly, as mentioned in most reviews, the location is great, across the street from the beach,...

My family had a great time. Jonathan and Alex (Front Desk) were very nice and went out of their way to make my family feel welcome. The place is located right across the street from the beach. One block from Lincoln road and two blocks from Ocean Drive. The best kept secret is the outdoor kitchen, which is right by...

Modest hostel in the super central location of Collins Avenue. Close to the night life of Espanola Way and Lincoln Road and 5 minutes walk far from the beach. The rooms are quite spacious and equipped with private bathroom where towels are changed daily. There is also the possibility to use an outdoor kitchen (common to all the guests). This...

We changed from another hostel and asked if we could see the rooms first before we book which was no problem for the very friendly staff. Everyone gave us tips and recommendations, everyone was friendly and so nice to us, so if you are in Miami, go to the tropics. You meet people from everywhere in the world you can...

I went to Miami Beach without a reservation so I walked in several low end hotels priced at 100 -130 per weekend night (half of that on weekday) and they were all run down. This one was just a little cheaper than other hotels in this range and carpet, beds were not something to love. But three others I visited...

We were at this hotel some months ago with 2 friends for 5 days. The hotel has great location on Miami Beach near to the beach. Price was average, rooms were clean. Every guest can use the kitchen in share room. Free wifi at reception.

I booked this hotel for it's location through the QANTAS web site. The pictures shown are greatly, greatly exaggerated. In all my travels the past 30 years, this has been the worst I've ever seen. It should not be on the QANTAS web site. It was filthy. The walls were paper thin. We walked in - we walked out. I...
