really poor and dirty place with unconfortable rooms. if you are unlucky you can be forced to have to divide your bathroom with some extraneous. In miami it's possible to find better place to the same price. Don't book there!

I had a booking already for a budget hotel called Surf B&B. Few weeks before the trip I found the Clay hotel. Price and the location were the main factors why I choce it. The Espanola Way is fantastic, cute, romantic and the place to enjoy a nice drink in the evening. Me and my girlfriend loved it. The proximity... More

We had stayed here last year in the hostel building which lived up to international hostel expectations even though we booked it as a cheap hotel. This year we "upgraded" to what they call a delux room, with a delux price associated. The room is identical to our hostel priced room and in terrible condition, and worse, the toilet exploded... Don't let the glossy bright pictures on the Clay Hotel web site fool you , this place is a dump that is dirty and badly in need of refurbishments. If you like sleeping forget about it if your room is facing Espanola Way (which are the priciest rooms) because there are restaurants on the main floors of the hote l(... More

Don't believe in internet pictures!!!! We had planned to stay there some days, but we left the hotel in the next morning. Really disgusting!!!! Dirty Room - all aspects, a realy small room, noise from the bar, below us, until 4am, the furniture was so bad, the bed was a joke - too old! Humidity on the bathroom's roof a... More

The one and only positive thing is the location. The Clay Hotel is just a few blocks from the beach, walking distance to clubs, shopping and a variety of places to eat. However, the humidity in the room was so bad that all of my clothing felt damp (even things in the dresser) and wet clothing and towels were not... More

I was totally put off by the horror stories and pictures on this website which I had only seen after I had booked and paid for both my flights and the room. So much so to the point where I was ready to cancel my booking but in all honesty I was glad I didn't. I was told that the... More

We had to stay in the Hostel area and it was not pleasant at all. I think there are bedbugs, but it definitely was dirty, toilet did overflow and money was stolen from a Japanese guy. So if you have to stay there, wear all your valuables at your body and get yourself a lot of alcohol so that you... More

Right it looked ok when we got there, reception were friendly. We got the keys to our room and when we got there it seemed fine. But discovered after a while the room was not all that clean, they have carpets in the rooms which is a very bad thing when they are not that fussy with the cleaning.Everytime we... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in the middle of a tour around Florida. After reading the reviews on here I was fairly worried about what to expect. We paid $780 for 2 people in a twin room with a private bathroom, plus $10 a day parking in a secure lot. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels being... More
