We always love going to El Governors. All rooms on the high rise have balconies facing the ocean so we LOVE staying at this hotel and have stayed here many times. My husband and I were looking forward to a relaxing weekend at the beach. My husband is disabled so our trips to the beach are short and he has...

Our first visit here. The hotel and staff were very nice. The beaches were very clean and white. This hotel is one of the few that are truly "on the beach". Just a few steps to the water. We will definitely be back again.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It is clean. If you are accustomed to Seaside, then this isn't for you. If you just need a clean, beachfront, basic hotel, then stay here. The people are nice who work here. The only negative was that there were many smokers outside our room in the annex so the a/c drew the bad...

This was my 2nd visit here, this time with a group of 24 family members. It was so great for everyone! Just an awesome, relaxing, family oriented environment. The beach is beautiful, and much time was spent in the heated pool too. I'm sure we'll be back again.

The stars are for friendly intake staff and the wonderful location overlooking a beautiful beach. But the room itself left a lot to be desired. The sink top and most of the toilet were clean, but the tub and surround had clearly been missed, maybe for a long time, (that giant slimy handprint was not ours!) and there was mildew...

I have been coming down here for years from Georgia. The El Governor is a perfect place to stay for a calm and beautiful beach trip. The pool is not deep and is open until late - great for night swimming. This place is very family friendly. Lots of good places to eat within a few miles. Just a neat...

We love this hotel on the beach. It is an older hotel but don't dismiss it for that reason. Top floor corner room was awesome with views, beds are comfortable and clean. Staff is so friendly. The bar is perfect with a local vibe to it. We stay here every time we are in Mexico Beach. It is right by...

Spent 6 nights in room with balcony overlooking gulf of Mexico. Nice beach. Nice motel however housekeeping could have been just a little better. Our room did not appear to have been vacuumed and had to ask for sheets to be changed. Also without running water for a day and a half due to water main break. Although it was...

This is an older but very clean, nice hotel. All rooms are ocean front and directly on the beach. Staff was very friendly. They have a great gift shop that also sells snacks and liquor. The tiki bar has happy hour and music on weekends. Pool looked nice. Easy walking to some restaurants and short drive to others. Room had...
