Loved every minute of our stay. Cottage was cosy and very clean, beds were super comfortable, and the surroundings were leafy, beautiful and peaceful. Loved the fully equipped kitchen, and we very much enjoyed the spa bath! Lesley was a great host - she checked in during our stay to make sure everything was going well, and provided us with a cheese platter and chocolates! The cottage is also close to some great food options. Do yourself a favour and book some time away at Whistle Stopover B&B - we didn't want to leave!

We stayed here for 2 nights with 2 other couples, one 9 month old baby and our 5 month old puppy. We could not have been more thrilled with the accommodation and extras. A complimentary cheese platter, wonderful selection of teas, plunger coffee and coffee pods were offered, as well as dog biscuits and dog bowls. The kitchen itself had every utensil and pot you would ever need, plus enough plates, bowls, knifes and forks for everyone. It is a full kitchen with fridge, oven, microwave and gas hot plates. The lounge area was wonderful and cosy with a table for everyone to sit at or in the lounge chair provided. Beds were comfy and we loved the outdoor area, we will need to come back when it is a bit warmer too. Thank you so much, we had a brilliant stay!

What can we say Lesley the owner is just lovely to deal with, her recommendations for dinner and brunch were perfect along with a little surprise we received 😊
As for the cottage it is exquisite, perfect in every way there’s absolutely nothing I would change about it at all, it has beauty, comfort, warmth and it’s so homely and full of character.
From the moment you get there you instantly feel relaxed and the cheese platter and chocolates and port were delicious.
Everything about this B&B is perfect we just loved it and did not want to leave.
I know they say experience different places but for us it ticked every box we will certainly be coming back very soon and telling everyone we know about it. 10/10
Thank you so so much for having us 💐

What a beautiful, peaceful and tranquil location and such a cozy suite. We felt so spoilt and relaxed and were delighted with the ‘little things’ left around such as port wine & chocolates and the cheese board. The spa experience was really something. We plan to head back in 12 months to celebrate our first wedding anniversary.

A beautiful and well maintained cottage. Nice little surprises upon arrival ( cheese platter, biscuits, fruits, and chocolates and the lovely fresh flowers ). Clean rooms , comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Tastefully decorated. (Pups are allowed). Less than 2 hours drive from Melbourne. Will definitely recommend to family and friends. Super lovely and friendly hosts.

Tucked away into the roving hills and mountains of the Dandenong Ranges, the Whistle-Stopover sits un-assumingly next to the Puffing Billy train line.

Situated only an hour and a half from the Melbourne CBD this taste of Australian beauty is sitting on our back door.

Greeted on arrival by Lesley, the owner/manager we were taken to the couples room. Everything I could of hoped for sat inside, the room beautifully maintained, with so much attention to everything that made this a true couples getaway.

The only downfall was that we had to leave.

My family again stayed in this beautiful accommodation over the June long weekend. The size and layout of this meticulously clean and very cosy two storey cottage meant that six adults could enjoy a relaxing and very comfortable time as we came together from different parts of Australia. The well equipped kitchen, generous provisions and separate dining area enabled us to share meals easily. Port and chocolates by the fire was yet another nice touch provided by the host Lesley, who goes out of her way to make a stay at Whistle Stopover truly special. Even our two family dogs got treats! I thoroughly recommend this accommodation. We will be back again next June.

This cottage provides the perfect accommodation for a relaxing, cosy, comfortable and quiet getaway. It was ideal for our family of four adults to catch up. There is ample room and privacy in the cottage as well as having the kitchen and dining facilities to cook up a feast. The location is ideal as it is nestled between some excellent wineries and restaurants. We have already made our next booking!

I spent a family weekend at Whistle-Stopover celebrating my 60th birthday. We used both the cottage and the spa suite. The rooms were spotless and extremely well equipped from toiletries; chocolates; welcome platters of cheese, fruit and biscuits; to a gift bottle of champagne for my birthday. For the toddler in our group there were toys, dvds, a high chair and even plastic plates, bowls and utensils. Heating was great - not a hint of cold anywhere indoors. The cottage living and dining area was a spacious gathering, relaxing and eating spot for our group. Good range of kitchen appliances and utensils, as well as a BBQ. The outdoor verandahs would be lovely spots to relax during the summer months. Beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed the peace and quiet especially at night. Short walk in to Cockatoo and only a 6 minute drive in to Gembrook (Puffing Billy and Sunday Market). Our host, Lesley, was very accommodating - quick to respond when I was booking and flexible when dealing with changes I had to make. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! (PS: Maybe some brighter lighting (lamps) for reading in the living area). Many thanks Lesely and Peter - you have established a beautiful standard of accommodation for local and overseas visitors.
