This is an excellent choice for a carefree, very clean, peaceful place to stay - it is not a fancy resort, but a very nice apartment style accommodation. There are only 10 - 12 rooms total, all but 2 are around a wonderful garden area that is very full of wonderful plants and very well kept. The owners/managers are very...

Loved this place. Well appointed and VERY clean. Beautiful room with a kitchen. Owner was very sweet. She walked me through the suite pointing out everything I might need. She recommended the restaurant across the street, The Lazy Lobster, and it was very good. The grounds are well maintained and lush Nice beach. Hope to return sometime!

The Sandpiper Inn has limited one- and two - bedroom apartments with kitchens, and opens directly onto the beach. Each unit has a small terrace area, and entire place has lovely gardens, sitting areas and water features. Very well-maintained and free-form, in the sense that one feels very private throughout the property. Kitchen utensils are impeccably clean and complete, which...

almost reluctant to write a review as want to keep this wonderful place our little secret, but we are also Inn keepers in France & really felt that the owners of this little oasis of peace & tranquility have got it so right, we felt so at home & are hoping to return for a longer visit in 2017. We stayed for 31 nights at the Sandpiper Inn, Jan.1, 2016 until Feb. 1st, 2016. It is beautifully kept and there are lots of great birds Egret, Blue Heron and even an American Eagle which we got a picture of. It is right on the ocean. There is a pool and the most beautiful walk made of brick. The one...

We were recently there for 4 nights. Last minute travel so we were lucky they had an opening! I was pleasantly surprised when we drove up and walked down the garden path to the beach. Having an ocean pavilion and beach chairs on the ocean was a nice touch. Room was clean and fresh. Harold (Innkeeper) was friendly, informative and...

We recently spent 4 days in this charming spot. It is clean, well-appointed, comfortable and within walking distance of shops, restaurants and a beautiful park. And, the beach (complete with chairs and umbrellas) is just steps away. We especially appreciated the fact that the entire property is non-smoking....fresh air everywhere! The bed is extremely comfortable and both rooms have great...

We just - reluctantly - departed the Sandpiper Inn in Longboat Key after a heavenly two-plus week stay. We stayed in a different unit than we had in the past and loved it even more than before! There are new interior doors and the bathroom and walk in closet have been completely remodeled. The bathroom now has a walk-in shower...

We booked this place based on the reviews and so glad we did. It was the best anniversary we've had in our 13 years. Quiet, peaceful, clean, beautiful property on the Gulf. We thoroughly enjoyed the private beach and walks. Don't miss this inn!

After having flown in from Arizona to find that the airline had delayed my luggage an hour, I ran into a 10 mile traffic jam on I-75. I felt I couldn't wait to cozy up with the nice views of my "go to" childhood vacation spot. The place I normally come to had closed 15 minutes prior to my arrival...
