Nice Inn, Centrally located in an unspoiled "real Florida" in a place called Lantana. We walked to the local restautrants and had a great fishing trip right down the street (I caught a fish called Dolphin ( mahi)
My only regret was not having more time!

I have stayed in many highly rated, fancy places, yet I have never encountered such heartfelt hospitality as I did during my stay here. While this motel may not meet the eye as your classiest establishment, the experience makes up for it all. The rooms are so comfortable and are squeaky clean, the staff was so accommodating to our time flexibility, and management was extremely attentive to goings-on with guests, ensuring that the premises were peaceful and safe at all times. Every place you look, you will find mindfully placed decorations and intentions for all guests to feel comfortably welcomed home. The owners take great pride in the business they run, which I feel is so rare in today's corporate world. Any time I visit this area, I would choose to stay here first above all other stays. They are absolutely doing the thing the way it should be done!

The motel was far better than we expected. It deserves 3 stars. The owner is dedicated to a very high quality level of service and comfort for the customer. We were impressed with everything provided from the service to the beautifully and comfortably furnished room. The outdoor decor was impressive in all respects.

I really wanted to like this place. The pictures make it look better than it is, unfortunately.
Pros Quaint Clean Walking distance to Key Lime House
Cons Bad area Tiny shower with tepid water instead of hot Traffic and trains throughout the night Public areas not cleaned and outdated Limited parking on site Terrible internet connection
Sadly, I cannot recommend this motel to anyone.

First and foremost, everything was so, so up until Wednesday. We had to vacate our unit for tenting so our stay here was Sunday through Wednesday with expectations of possibly staying an additional day due to the fact that we actually couldn't enter back into our unit until around 6 pm Wednesday night. So, it was inevitable that we would be staying another day. The issue at hand was that one of the beds had completely collapsed the first night, and the internet kept going in and out. I had just confirmed with the maid that another night would be on the table and she offered fresh sheets, which at first, I declined because we brought our own. The one bed was switched out the next day, and the following day, the water was off for several hours. What really got me was I am sitting at the table doing some online work and there is a man approaching, then a knock on the door. Before I could get to the door to open it, it was jammed, which made it hard to open, as I was approaching the door this manager took it upon himself to step back and look directly into the unit as I was approaching, with my pajamas on. This was a very uncomfortable encounter. As I then struggled to open the door, the first thing that came out of his mouth was "Check-out time is 11 am" I politely said, I think we will be staying another day, I will have my husband call you. He stated if he going to call me right now, I said as soon as I can get him on the phone. This manager as he referred to himself was not only rude to me but after getting off the phone with my husband, he was rude to him as well. Would I recommend this place to anyone else, possibly not and we definitely won't be visiting here ever again. I am a very visual person and I keep my eyes on my surroundings, so when they say the freaks come out at night, that includes the daytime as well. This was in close proximity to our house so this is why it was chosen. BIG MISTAKE! Another thing to consider, if there had been any type of fire or emergency, I would have been trapped for a few minutes struggling to get out of the one-door exit. I am usually an easygoing person, as well as understanding but when you're making money off the consumer you'd best be on your best behavior.

We have checked all locks nothing is wrong with them. You most likely had the door locked and tried to open the locked door. We also have giant windows right next to door that is very easy for someone to escape in fire or emergency. As per check out im not sure what was wrong with a manager letting you know that check out was 11 am, After the time you where sopose to be checked out. That is a normal thing especially for a room that is not paid for. As per the collapsed bed, the bed did not collaps, one peice of the wood broke on the very end of the bed which made the bottom part of bed sink in a little, this was also fixed with a new metal frame the same day.

Totally retro experience, but better, of an old motel from my youth (1960s). With mod cons. Wifi, fridge, and very nice bathroom.
Staff is wonderful. If you book through their site rather than the masters of the universe, they can do full refunds if your plans change.
Best for one person, but enough room for a couple short term. If I had been there as a single, I would have stayed a month.

My mother died in October, so I needed to go to Florida in October instead of November. I had made a reservation for November at the Barefoot Mailman Motel. I called and asked if I could move my reservation to October, but they had no availability, so I asked for a refund. I was told I would receive a refund for the total I had paid minus a 25 dollar processing fee. After several telephone calls and emails, I still have not received my refund as of today, January 5. During this period the motel was taken over by new management. It does not appear that the new management is as well-organized and trustworthy as the previous management. I have stayed in this motel many times over the years and never had a problem until now.

Hello Ann, this is one of the new owners of motel. i am sorry for your room loss, but we did not take any funds from any guest that had booked with old owner. we also did not use old system that was put into place. im sorry you feel this way of thinking we took your money as we did not intend for that. i do not know who you booked through if it was direct through the old owner, as we had requested for all future bookings at that time to be refunded. if you would like to send me your reservation you had paid for i can look into it. 561-302-4639

This motel is located in an area that is close to several wonderful eating places you can easily walk to and only 9/10 of a mile from the beach. Our toom was clean and the managers were pleasant and helpful when I inquired about things to do. We plan to return.

I wish I had known about this motel before. It's much better and cheaper than the nearby Motel 6 because it has a big fridge, a microwave and the room is big with a big, wide bed. There is a courtyard where you can enjoy free coffee or tea in the morning. I recommend this place to everyone.

The Barefoot Mailman Motel was an unexpected gem. While the room was quite simple, it was clean and comfortable. The Efficiency Unit had a full refrigerator and microwave. Just outside the unit was a lovely patio with many plants , comfortable patio furniture for enjoying the sun and also a canopy to avoid the sun. Coffee was provided in the mornings under the canopy and here was also a barbecue available for the guests. Would definitely come again

Sorry we missed this. Thanks momdragon for answering for us. Yes, we take the full amount of your confirmed reservation stay as a "deposit". This is simply an accounting move to hold the money in escrow until your stay in case there are any cancellations or changes to be processed. Thank you for your question. Management.
We have two designated routers with eight access points covering the property giving good quality WiFi service inside and outside all rooms. Especially, outside on the patio and, it is included in the reasonable pricing.
There are more places to choose from in the Lantana area.
