This Bed and Breakfast is longer available. The establishment has closed. The Lake Wales Chamber of Commerce indicated there was a recent estate sale at the property. Ii looked like a nice place to stay in Lake Wales, right on the lake. It was disappointing to learn that it had closed.

You can't do much better than this delightful B&B with beautiful rooms and a view of Lake Wales. Our hosts were happy to meet our every want and need. We spent an evening sipping wine on the porch, then out to dinner. Returned to our room only to find brandy and home made chocolate truffles waiting for us. Breakfast even came with dessert! Only minutes from Bok Tower, skip the institutional motels and instead stay here and enjoy a sense of old-world charm, graciousness and hospitality.

We stayed in the Romance Suite and loved it! The electric fireplace made the living area so cozy. The beautiful, embroidered satin bedspread and pillows on the comfy king and chandelier over it were elegant. The bathroom had a shower and a stained glass skylight over the tub. The liquors and chocolates in the evening brought to our room and the coffee and pastries served in the hallway outside our room were delightful. Each of the public rooms were decorated uniquely. The music room contained a piano as well as an accordion, banjo, and indigenous instruments. The game room did not have a billiard table as described in other reviews but had a sofa and large screen TV. Also, there were board games, a huge library of books and DVDs. Breakfasts were very tasty - Egg Benedicts (best ever) and Quiche were the main courses on the two days we stayed.

Wow!! This place is awesome. It’s not so much about the house (which is beautiful and elegant) , it’s about the hosts. Harold and Jessica were so hospitable and truly enjoyed having us as their guests. And the food? Not only delicious but a feast for the eyes. If you are looking for a truly zen getaway, consider this place. Thank you Jessica and Harold for setting the bar so far. Your guests are definitely the beneficiaries of your considerable efforts.

We stayed for two nights in the latter part of March. It was absolutely delightful! This was the perfect time of year. There was a flock of Sand Hill cranes in the park across the street doing mating dances. Harold and Jessica provided excellent bicycles which we rode on the scenic bike path around the lake, and later all the way up to Bok Gardens and back. Harold and Jessica’s house was fantastic. It was beautifully decorated, with some magnificent art among the other treasures. It felt very welcoming and comfortable. Everything was neat as a pin and absolutely spotless. From the start of the day with coffee and pastry outside our room, through the beautifully presented delicious breakfast, to the good night service of brandy and a confection, we felt like we were treated as royalty. And the mattress was awesome for a good nights sleep. We ate at the Lake Wales Family Diner - fantastic!
