Travellers' Choice
The "Queen of the Florida Keys", Cheeca Lodge & Spa has been an exclusive hideaway for celebrities, business leaders and U.S. Presidents for over 70 years. Set on 27 private oceanfront acres in Islamorada, Cheeca has been constructed with a porte-cochere entrance, traditional Florida Keys architecture and spirited tradition of “barefoot elegance” -- a term coined at Cheeca. Along with a coffee bar and top-shelf lobby bar, Cheeca boasts three distinctive restaurants: Atlantic’s Edge, Cheeca’s flagship restaurant offering a seasonal fine-dining menu of fresh local seafood, prime steaks and organic local produce, Nikai Sushi Bar and Restaurant offering the Florida Keys’ freshest sushi, Asian-inspired fare and a unique selection of Japanese sake and wine; and family-friendly Mia Cucina restaurant transporting Naples, Italy into the heart of Islamorada serving up made to order artisan pizzas, pastas and salads.

My husband and I had a wonderful extended weekend at the Cheeca Lodge.our room was perfect and grounds are beautifully maintained. So many activities available - fishing, snorkeling, tennis, golf, biking, and lots of time just relaxing on the beach with an incredible view. Highly recommend an oceanfront room, the view from the balcony is so worth it.

Clean rooms, great pools and beautiful beach. We had a great dinner over looking the beach and water, what a romantic spot. It was chilly out but with the eaters the atmosphere was perfect. Great vacation!

We enjoy the rooms overlooking the lagoon - they are private among the mature canopy of palm trees and when you have the door open, the sound of water falls flood the room. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. We ride bikes on and off property, play tennis, play par 3 golf, kayak, SUP, Fish off of the pier and soak by the pool; the Cheeca has so much to do! And in the evening, we sit by a fire on the beach!

We throughly enjoyed our recent stay at Cheeca in Islamorada. We used this as a day stop on our way to Key West. This is a wonderful resort, not only great for couples, but also for families. Our king room was outstanding with a terrific bed, great shower and amazing outdoor bathtub. All employees were terrific, with great personality and professionalism. The tiki bar on the beach had excellent drinks and great food. Breakfast at the Atlantic Edge restaurant was also very good. We definitely will be back and will plan to spend several days there!!

We stayed at the Cheeca lodge as a family of 4. The room was pretty and nicely appointed but one of the beds had a bad dip that made it impossible to sleep in. The property itself was gorgeous with lush trees and nicely maintained pools. The service at the restaurant was very slow.
