We've never been to Islamorada so we were not sure what to expect. Loved the island and everyone at the resort was so friendly- from check in to housekeeping to Chris at "activities." I liked the idea of staying at a resort that included kayaks, paddle boards and bikes and also being able to use their sister resorts. I will say that during busy season, they might run out or you will have to wait. We didn't have this problem during our MLK weekend. We were more than pleasantly surprised at the grounds of La Siesta. It was well kept with plenty to do... lots of chairs at the pool, around the grounds and at the beach area. my kids played ping pong and corn hole a lot. The pool was also heated and was at the bar area with a bartender ready to serve. Because of Covid the breakfast was a pick up process- you went to the window and picked from a big list of items like muffins, bagels, cereal, fruit, oatmeal packets. The resort was very centrally located and close to their sister resort Amara Cay that you could actually paddle board/kayak to. We enjoyed spending time at Postcard Inn during the days but enjoyed staying at the more laid back La Siesta which was the only one that could accommodate our family of 5 without having to pay for a two bedroom suite or another room. There are plenty of restaurants you can drive to and even a Publix down the street and a Dollar Store so if you are flying, don't bother packing things you can get at those stores. We have recommended this resort to our friends already and will plan on returning.

This is a lovely property which is situated right on the water and has terrific ambience. The cottages and rooms are very clean and well appointed. The staff is very nice and the management quickly solved a scheduling snafu which we had so I have only good things to say about the way this place is run. Andrea was particularly professional and accommodating and quickly transformed a problem into a gift!!! We had a family gathering and occupied waterfront cottages and rooms both of which were super comfy. Covid prevents the resort from providing daily housekeeper services but we knew that going in. Towels ice etc were readily made available by the staff. There is a great selection of activities and it’s a terrific place for families. Great vibe! Beautiful place and very chill.

Loved this resort so much!!! Impeccably clean everywhere, in all the corners etc. An idyllic place to come relax enjoy and have fun with family and friends. Coolest games and toys sprawled over the large property. Warm pool with a cool tiki bar, kids and the parents didn’t want to leave the property even though complimentary bikes are offered. Enjoyed the kayaks that are included, good fun with the teenager kid and going around. Loved the staff - so polite and caring. I don’t want to go anywhere else in the keys now - this hotel/ resort is worth every penny of your stay and then some!!

We spent a few days in the resort and it was awesome. We got the best Ocean View room and that was priceless. Room was very spacious. The staff was truly nice, starting from the person who checked us in, the folks at the beach and the lady at the Pool Bar. True genuine customer service. On Saturday there was a GREAT DJ at the pool. It was a LOT of fun for the kids and the adults. We used the bikes and kayaks. Next time, we will do the paddle boards too. The location of the resort is amazing .. beautiful marina, beautiful view. Very easy going. Great restaurants very close by. We ate at ZIggy and MagDog Steakhouse. 6 minutes from the hotel. Awesome. The kids had an absolute blast at the pool and playing by the beach/marina.

The beautiful setting, the friendly staff, the updated and spotless rooms and the entire vacation exceeded our expectations! We felt very safe during COVID at this resort as the staff wore masks and kept the property extremely clean. What made the vacation even better was that the resort was super dog friendly with lots of safe walking areas and space, yet there was no unpleasant signs or smells that pets were allowed. Murphy, our doggie had a great time. We loved our 7 day vacation here! We would like to thank entire staff, especially Andrea and Daniel, for a great family vacation!
