For many of us, a cabin/cottage at the beach, with an ocean view would be the perfect place to spend our days. For a select few, that fantasy is a reality at Pines & Palms. About 1/2 of the cabins open to the Atlantic Ocean...More
We are a family of four, staying with our friends, a family of 6. We hired the two villas at Pines and Palms for 10 days.

Stayed here one night on a short Keys trip. Our room was a small cottage on the waterfront, excellent views and short walk to the pool/bar. Reminds me of the Keys in the 60's on the outside but rooms have been remodeled and are in...More

While I have not stayed here I have stayed at many places in the keys. There are not a lot of real beaches in the keys...each key is basically a rock in the water. If you want shelling the west coast of Florida, particularly Sanibel, would be the place. Most beaches are created by clearing rocks and dumping sand, then smoothing it out on a grade that gets deeper the farther it goes out. Walks on any beach in the keys would be a pleasure and sunsets are outrageous, particularly when you are equipped with a margarita!
