We stayed at Pines and Palms on the recommendation of a friend. We were delighted to discover updated cottages; we were in number 5 which was a one bedroom. The bathroom was lovely, there is a full size fridge in there, stove, dishes, pans, couch and chair, TV, etc. We were only there for one night but we found ourselves wishing we could stay longer (we were on a driving tour down to Key West and had other reservations lined up). Check in was easy and fast, there is a beach with a fishing pier and another pier where you can sit and relax. There is a pool that I think is salt water, with a little bar right there. Great place to sit and meet new friends. We most definitely will go back, and we know that we'd like to spend probably five days there. (Only downside--and I shouldn't even call it a downside--is that there is one TV in the living area but no TV in the bedroom.). Wonderful place!…
This is the place for you if you're tired of the corporate run, overcrowded, hotel style vacationing with tacked on resort fee's. Owners Jim and Sara do a wonderful job of maintaining an "Old Florida Keys Feel" property that makes you feel like you're living in the Keys not just visiting it. The fact that you can really socially distance by renting cottages was a big plus as we weren't ready to book a crowded hotel style resort. The owners and the staff (shout out to Amanda, Jessica and Leslie) couldn't have been friendlier. The grounds are immaculate and landscaped beautifully with orchids growing on trees all over. We liked the large sea grape tree down by the beach that provided great shade during the day being as after living in Florida over 30 years we've had enough sun already. There are kayaks, bikes and paddle boards to rent and two docks that offer a nice prop for beautiful sunrise photo's. There are all different types of rooms you can rent but our cottage really had us feeling like we were living right there as a local. It was well equipped and had plenty of windows for a real open feel. We're glad we found this place and will surely be back!…
Pines and Palms is a beautiful low keyed resort .The staff is friendly and helpful , the grounds are well kept and we had a wonderful week .We were fortunate to book the Orchid Cottage which was so nice we'll definately book again . Thanks to every one there especially Anna and Jessica .
Spent the weekend in one of their Cottages and Loved it. Room was clean and neat, the staff, well I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly they were. We are looking forward to our next stay here. The docks had chairs at the end of them so you and your partner could look out towards Alligator Reef Light House and watch the calm water. The swimming pool has a little bar in with it that was a nice surprise, and they supplied you with everything you needed to make a meal in your cottage except the food. Our Cottage had a bedroom then a kitchen/dining room with the bathroom off of that. A sliding glass door led out to a private patio where you could enjoy the cool (ha ha) air.
Be careful with this place. They canceled my reservation 3 hours before check in without any reason on Labor weekend, unable to speak with management. Very rude staff. Worst customer service. Too expensive for the service provided. I had a good deal with a third party booking company. Their rate was much higher, when I called the hotel they told that the room I wanted was no longer available, I explained that third party had it published for $254., they told me book with them because they could not give me that rate and then they canceled on the day of arrival more likely they sold my room to someone else for a higher rate.
