This place is a true gem! It feels more like a home away from home than a codo in the Keys. Please don't go there, I don't want it to get too crowded. LOL.
The little details seperate Casa from the rest. In the rooms they provide flash lights, plenty of linens, umbrellas, bedside mood lighting, retro fridge, 2 large TV's, nice coffee maker, hair drier and a large shower with pleny of hot water with water pressere! I'm sure I missed a few.
The campus is perhaps the most appealing aspect of the stay. The landscape provides privacy through wandering paths of greenery and blossom littered with sitting areas, hammock, benches, etc. Very well done and just plain cool. The best part is the waterfront "island" where you can watch the sunset from the pool or bar where Samantha will whip you up a memorable island cocktail. You might try the special seltzer to enhance the evening glow.
Other tidbits: Parking is plentiful. The office can provide additional coffee, paper towels, cold beverages, whatever and a lazy cat that wanders the grounds, rent a cat, free of charge. Yes, Casa is puppy friendly with free poop station and bags. All dogs matter!
Adriana, Jackie and Samantha are there to help and are part of what makes Casa "home." All the staff are island friendly and salt of the earth good folks.
As mentioned, please do not go to Casa Morada and have a fantastic stay. It will get too crowded.

Highly recommend a visit to the Casa Morada where you will experience the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere right from the start. We were initially greeted by two friendly furry felines followed by a kind women that checked us into our suite. Our first impressions in our suite were clean and neat, open and airy rooms. We had very restful sleep. The campus was very well maintained and serene were you can join a yoga group on certain days. All of guests services were friendly and helpful. We will be back!

The grounds are beautiful and private, the pool area has great views over the water and of the boats going by. The room was clean but dated, the king bed we had was two beds pushed together, it was comfortable but made noise every time you moved.
The issue we had was that on their website we state that they have bar service and food service available at the pool area. Well that is a little misleading as for the 6 days we were there there was no service at all. When I ask why I was told that if guest ask for the bar to be open they will call someone and if they can come they will but if they are not available then no service. As far as food I was told that if the bar is staffed that guest can order from a local restaurant and they will have the food delivered. I had called three days before we arrived and was told that the bar and food service would be available when we stayed. They also have signs telling you if you bring your own alcohol they charge you a 20.00 fee daily.
I think this information should be made clearer on their website so guest know what to expect, I feel it was a little misleading.
In closing I do have to say the staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful,

Casa Morada is gorgeous! We loved our stay in the Starfish suite! Starfish Pros: huge bathtub & covered patio ideal for rainy days, lots of space, HIGHLY recommend a waterfront room for the view & proximity to amenities. Property Pros: Amazing island- chair setups are spread out enough to feel pretty private, perfect spot for paddling, great waterfront restaurants & shops nearby (Lorelei’s & Mangrove Mike’s are walking distance), cabana bar with drinks & some food. Things I wish I’d known: 1. Breakfast is continental (limited options) and things run out if you come later in the morning. 2. We had to request a coffee maker in advance to have coffee in our room, and we were charged at checkout for using the K-cups they provided. 3. It’s a small enough property that it’s hard to avoid small talk with your neighbors. Could be a pro or con depending on your vacation style :) 4. Housekeeping is available by request, and though we requested daily housekeeping at checkin, they never came. We had to track someone down for clean towels, emptying trash, etc. But the property was so lovely and the room so cozy that honestly this hardly made a dent in our overall experience. Highly recommend!

This is a lovely property which is quiet and seems far away from the bustle of Highway One even though it is only a short block off the main road. All rooms are suites which are spread out over several buildings. Upon arrival we were told that our reservation was not on their system, which was concerning, but luckily a room was available but not the one we reserved in August! The room we were given was in the first floor of the main building and had a terrace and outdoor shower. It was lovely to walk out to the garden and only a short stroll to the private beach. We took an amazing sunset sail and enjoyed the included yoga class on Wednesday.
The rooms are not fancy but very comfortable and clean. The draw here is the privacy and the gorgeous private island with pool and lounges overlooking the crystal clear water. There was wine and beer available at the pool but no food. Management should consider adding a few prepackaged snack items for purchase. However it was a short walk to Mangrove Mikes for brunch or lunch. The included continental breakfast on a terrace near the beach area was adequate but nothing special.
Overall we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay and we will consider returning

This is a little resort with charm and suites overlooking the water and its pool area. The pool area is very nice with a bar and lounge chairs for hanging out during the day and at sunset. Also a nice area for their continental breakfast in the morning. I'm not rating this higher since we had an issue with repairs on the roof of our suite which we were not informed about upon check-in. They should be more proactive about working with customers when they know they have essential repairs going on during a guest's stay. There was also construction next door out of their control, but still it was difficult to stay there during the day and enjoy everything they had to offer. Apparently, we did receive a discount for our trouble, but it was never clear what the rate was going to be in the first place as I was quoted one thing on the phone and never got prices along with my confirmation email. So, double-check pricing and the status of the resort before you go. I do think their standard rates are a bit high. Yes, the views are nice, but it is an older building that is trying to be kept up. For similar money, you could stay at the Cheeca Lodge... maybe not with a view, but a much nicer lodge.

Went to Islamorada to celebrate our 21st anniversary and stumbled upon a gem! Casa Morada is a small guesthouse with homey Keys style suites with beautiful touches and plenty of space. I believe there are only 16 double occupancy rooms (no kids allowed) and beautiful manicured grounds where each room has its own little outdoor space.
The pool area was delightful with an exquisite Bay view. A minimal bar with just enough for a lazy pool day and a local good option. Beware this is not a big luxury hotel, if that’s what you’re looking for keep scrolling but that was exactly what I was NOT looking for!
Conveniently located near all the good food and attractions that Islamorada has to offer and far enough of the highway for quiet but close enough to ride bikes to Brunch (which are free at the front desk). Breakfast was included but not extensive (bagels, yoghurt, fruit and cereal etc) and a lovely cold bottle of champagne greeted us at arrival, along with the guesthouse cats which are the cutest.
Will definitely be back!

What a lovely, private place! I especially loved sitting outside rooftop of my gorgeously decorated and comfortable Jungle room looking out into the beautiful gardens. The cabana near the quiet waterfront bar was so peaceful, lying back reading and chatting with my companion. I loved the water view area up high for our free continental breakfast of delicious warm cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissants, hard-cooked eggs, fresh fruit and yogurt, etc with perfect coffee. It was really fun taking a ride on grab-and-go bicycles, very smooth and easy, to nearby eateries and a distillery. We also took a kayak paddle along the shoreline, fantastic even with the light wind. I only wish the pool heater had been fixed. The staff was superb!

Given the high nightly rate and recommendations from well respected travel review organisations we were underwhelmed by our stay. The location and setting are excellent and afforded our first interaction with a manatee on our kayaking trip provided free of charge at the hotel. These were the highlights. The hotel is rather soulless. We stayed in the Sun Suite it was fine but for the cost did not meet our expectations. Breakfast was ok - just! Do you will get a clean soulless room in a wonderful setting. Our overall view was could do better - pretty average, not worth the nightly rate. The hotel was not staffed after 9pm though this did no pose a direct problem for our stay.
