The Fisher Inn Resort & Marina boasts a stylish and serene atmosphere that guests have come to appreciate, with comfortable rooms and tranquil outdoor spaces. While the resort offers a range of amenities, including water sports and a pool, some guests feel these come with excessive fees. The rooms offer clean spaces with nice views, but issues with lighting and noise have been pointed out. Its prime location is applauded for easy access to local attractions, yet opinions on maintenance vary. While the resort's cleanliness generally receives positive remarks, some suggest room service could be enhanced. Despite commendable staff service, the value for money is a point of contention for many visitors, with some deeming resort fees too high for the offered experience.

Great location and the room I had was mostly comfortable, the kitchenette came in handy and I loved the patio/balcony. This is a great place to bring kids. Two things I would have changed... 1. PLEASE put tongs or some other serving utensils on the breakfast bar. I ate out because of this, not into eating food that God knows how many dirty hands have touched. 2. It may be minor but some sound proofing for noise INSIDE the room would improve the experience, I felt like I was in an echo chamber. Note that the "beach" has a seawall that prevents swimming or even wading. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. At check in we were offered an upgraded room to the oceanfront king suite, which was absolutely beautiful. This really made our trip and made us feel really special. Tammi at the front desk was so pleasant. She helped us with check in and offered some great recommendations for our stay. Thanks Tammi! This place was just the right distance to the sandbar by paddleboard if you are an experienced paddleboarder and swimmer, well equip for the journey. If you are new to paddleboarding and kayaking the hotel provides them free of charge and you can paddle around the waterway. Breakfast was provided by the lobby if you need coffee or a snack to start the day. Perfect distance from a variety of some of the best Islamorada restaurants (about 3-5 minutes by car). We can't wait to be back next year!

Overall it was pretty much what I expected but there’s a few things that were letdowns. It’s a kitchenette but there was no utensils of any kind, there was absolutely no where to put any items in the shower except on the floor. And there was no plain coffee creamer either morning of our stay. Also, I was charged more money $65 for 2 nights when I thought the $700+ I prepaid on trip advisor was in full. After speaking to others who were at the same event I went to it sounds like I should have kept on looking.

I have been to the keys about 15 times over the years mostly during the winter to escape the cold. I know that the term "resort" is often used pretty loosely in the keys but here it was really a stretch. The positives - great views and really good location. Unfortunately it goes downhill from there. The staff were disgruntled and could hardly fake a smile yet alone the normal "hello or welcome". I wasn't expecting a red carpet but the staff couldn't care less about their guests. The office shuts down at 9pm so plan accordingly to get there before they close. As for getting to the room, there is no elevator. We booked a waterfront king room with a kitchenette which happened to be on the 3rd floor. No small task get luggage up two flights of stairs. The room came with a coffee maker, undercounter refrigerator, sink and microwave and nothing else. You need to bring everything. It looked like maybe it had more to begin with, but the shelves and cabinets are now bare. Although comfortable, the bed was very creaky and loud. Overall the room was reasonably clean but very barren. Room cleaning service is only upon request. When we requested service half way through our stay, it only included new towels and sheets but no actual cleaning of the room such as the floors or bathroom. The sofa was stained and torn. There are no ceiling fans, overhead lighting or a safe. Breakfast is very limited to coffee, toast, bagel or granola bars. After one day we skipped it and never went back. As for the outdoor spaces - there are no umbrellas or tree cover anywhere making it very hard to get out of the sun which must be brutal in the high heat of summer. The pool is small with about 8 lounge chairs around it. If you plan to use one of the two grills then you will need to bring everything such charcoal, trays, lighter, tongs, etc. Overall, I can't imagine going back. While an investment was made to renovate this old Florida hotel, it still has a long way to go to justify $29 per person per day for a "resort" fee. Sadly our experience just wasn't worth the price tag.

Room was not available after 4 o’clock due to room not being cleaned. We have been coming here for years and will never come back. and by the way the pool is down. Reservation was for four adults and room only had three washcloths and three towels in the room. I don’t recommend staying here. There’s plenty of other places to stay in Islamorada , Florida. also, the room had a very foul odor in it when we return from dinner

Room was large, had a table, two chairs, mini-fridge and wet bar. The balcony was nice (two Adirondack chairs and table). Bathroom had walk-in shower. No lighting near the two double beds, only floor lamps in two corners of the room opposite the bed (made it difficult to read in bed). Housekeeping only by request, with 24 hour notice. Because of this, my room was never freshened in a one-week stay (I wasn't aware of the policy until Day 5). Grounds are very nice. Lounge area under the building with ping pong, chairs and tables. Hammock. Seating at the waterfront. Pool was closed about half of my stay. Option available off-site, but .7 miles away. You can check out bikes and kayaks. Breakfast was pretty minimal (bagels, toast, juice, water, citrus fruit).

Fisher Inn resort is the most awesome place for a destination wedding in Islamirda. From the perfect set up of having your ceremony, reception & accommodations for all your guests all in one location to the way they treated us like we owned the place. The staff Ashley, Thomas, Brandon and all of their crew couldn’t do enough for us. We were treated like royalty! We booked almost all the rooms and it was like a private vacation for our 75 family members & guests.
The rooms are all fully renovated, the grounds are kept spotless and whenever you asked an employee for anything they made it happen. You made our daughter & son in law’s dream wedding happen and we cannot begin to thank you for all you did.

The location is great but it’s very outdated and not being maintained at all. Like others have noted the “upon request” housekeeping doesn’t actually clean anything. The bed was not awful but not great. The couch was old and stained and it took forever to get a little bit of hot water for a shower. Charging a daily “resort fee” is an absolute ripoff. The bicycles are all pretty beat up and not maintained and same with the kayaks. The pool was filthy on our early days and then the city/state shut it down completely (see photo). Half the outdoor lighting just hangs down. Another sign of no constant maintenance. The only good thing about their outdoor area are the lounge chairs sitting by the water, but even those could use a couple of umbrellas. Finally, the continental breakfast. Stale bread & bagels and maybe a packaged muffin if you’re lucky. One morning it was totally empty of all drinks, bagels and anything else other than some bread that had been sitting there for some time. If you want a coffee that’s fine but don’t try and sell this as any sort of breakfast. Just another sign of this place not being actively managed or maintained and isn’t close to any sort of “Resort”. There’s another option right next door that appeared from the outside to be way better maintained.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed our location and the waterfront lounge area, but we’re truly sorry to hear that other aspects of your stay did not meet expectations. Your comments about maintenance, housekeeping, and amenities are concerning, and we take them seriously. We had a great stay at Fisher Inn! We will definitely return. It is not posh but it is clean, the staff are fantastic (shout out to Tashero) and we loved the warm, heated, pool, great deck chairs and kayaks. The kayaks were even included in our stay. Although the sand area is not an official "beach" it has a great view and fantastic beach chairs overlooking the Atlantic. Location was great, near Starbucks, restaurants and Theater of the Sea. We were very happy with our stay and appreciate the availability of more affordable lodging options in Islamorada.

Coming to this hotel I expected nothing better than your traditional non chalant workers who just wanted to get their work over with and who didn’t care about the people. On the contrary I was greeted with Jamie. Jamie is the receptionist who works at this hotel and changed my views instantly. She was very thoughtful about answering my questions, she upgraded my room out of the kindness of her heart and even told me about the free kayaks the hotel has for any guests. All around this hotel is definitely one I would come back to as the views, location, and people are not things you see everywhere.

Parking is free and lots of spots. I honestly can't recall if there was a resort fee-if there was it was like $20. It would cover the pool, wifi, games, and kayak/paddleboard rentals.
