We enjoyed the hotel, the beach was beautiful and the efficiency villa was perfect for our family. Loved the screened in porch and we cooked the fish we caught at Robbie's in the little kitchen. I just don't know why the staff was so cranky. Not a friendly greeting when we arrived, the man driving around in the golf cart...

This resort was right off the highway. We had a Efficiency Room which was at the back of the complex. The room wasn't too bad. It had stove, fridge etc. and a screened in porch. This room might be great for couples with children. You could see there were premium rooms at the front of the hotel but we were...

Great resort, super clean and friendly. Lots to do but no ocean swimming, too shallow and dirty. The pools are sparkling, inviting and never crowded. Enjoyed the hot tub and kayaking along the mangroves looking for iguanas. The staff is very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend this resort. Reasonable prices.

A friend had stayed at the Chesapeake in February and said it was fine. As I was booking two nights in Islamorada for the first weekend in March, the Chesapeake turned out to have the best prices on a busy high-season weekend, so I went for it. Including the $18 a day resort fee and taxes, the bill for two...

We stayed at Chesapeake Beach Resort in Islamorada for 2 nights on the way to a couple of nights in Key West and then another 2 nights on the way back to Miami. Nice Atlantic beachfront location with good amenities such as pool, jacuzzi, use of kayaks and bikes and a small marina. Breakfast included but fairly meager. Ceasar at...

Two pools, Jacuzzi, ocean front (swim through sea grass with Matinees, if you are lucky), tennis court--well maintained. Large resort grounds. Lots of beach seating. Free breakfast. Clean and well-appointed rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Driving distance to restaurants--some delivery available. Rooms include refrigerator, TV, two full beds, balcony or screened-in porch, lots of drawer space, bathtub. Water pressure in...

On the whole we were very disappointed with the hotel. I had expected more for a special occasion but the room was very dated: looked like it was built in the 1980's and desperately need a remodel, especially for the price. The room we had had a connecting door so we could hear all the noise from next door. The...

I love the Chesapeake Resort. This is the second time I have stayed there. Be sure to mention you are a returning customer to get a discount. CLEAN is the most important thing to me in a room, and it definitely is. Both pools are nice size and never felt crowded. I am not a hot tub person but theirs...

Hard to get a room here unless you book a long time in advance. We liked our room. There is a daily resort fee that covers breakfast though it's fairly spartan. Parking is tight. Pool was nice and warm.
