This was a Wedding Gift from my daughter and son-in-law. We were in the Secret Garden Cottage. We were warmly greeted and shown to our beautiful room which was more like a small house! The bed was decorated in rose pedals with our initials and two towel swans facing each other to form a heart! My daughter had ordered a...

Can't say enough about how nice it is to stay here! We spent our Easter weekend here & thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners are wonderful and it's like being home....only better! We won't stay anywhere else in town!

Our last-minute decision to visit Gainesville meant NO hotel rooms were available -- and that turned out to be a blessing. Cindy Montalto was able to offer us her only available space -- a two bedroom cottage adjacent to the main house. Miss Hughies cottage is a charming and comfortable nook with all the self-catering amenities and proved ideal for...

This is our second visit to the Magnolia Plantation. We stayed in the Secret Garden cottage this time. It was roomy and comfortable and quiet, perfect for us, our daughter and her friend. We were in Gainesville to tour UF and it was wonderful to retreat to this oasis after a busy day out and about. The breakfast the next...

Beautiful restored building with a great & quirky history, very quiet grounds with lots to see on the grounds. There is a main building and several outhe houses on the grounds that are perfect for families.

Great place to stay and lots of choices on beautiful piece of property with "Old Florida" charm. Inn has lovely rooms in large Victorian, but loved the detached cottage choices on the property. Owners go the extra mile to make your stay special. Highly recommend if you want a quaint stay over hotel room. Absolutely loved it and already booked...

From the moment we drove into the grounds, I felt the peace and serenity of old Floridian charm. The cottage was enchanting. We enjoyed the evening on the porch swing and the early morning by the fire in the living room. Our hostess was delightfully interesting to visit with, knowledgable, and completely accommodating to our needs. The only down side...

Cindy treated us like friends from the minute we met. The entire staff was very friendly, welcoming and accomodating. We felt as if all our needs were thought of before we arrived. Can't wait to go back! And, we love that we can bring our dogs if we choose. Thank you.

This is a perfect choice for visiting Gainesville if you want more (much more) than a comfortable bed to sleep in. Everything was wonderful...the primary home, which was built in 1885, the décor, the accommodations, the breakfast, all the unexpected extras, the property, the Assistant Inn Keeper Cassidy and the owners Joe, Cindy & Abbey. You are really transported to...

We enjoyed a quiet week in Miss Huey's Cottage. We look forward to an opportunity to again enjoy another stay. The location of the Magnolia Plantation Inn is excellent. Nearby restaurants in downtown Gainesville add to the appeal of our cottage. Thanks to Joe and Cindy for making our stay memorable.

Thank Brian R
