Let me start by saying we traveled from Ohio to Florida and stayed at Hamptons all the way down and back.. it was not horrible and the location is great as it is directlyon beach.. food good, clean. but definitely seemed outdated based on the others we stayed at . Hotel does not face ocean.. so unless you get room on the end hard to see ocean from room.. also you are butted up right next to another hotel .. we could see right into their room from our balcony.. awkward... The neighborhood had 2 strip clubs , alot of bars and a liquor store right across street.. I did not mind but in my opinion not best location for family vacations..
After reading some of the reviews on trip advisor, I switched from a different hotel to this one. Then I read these reviews and wondered if I made a mistake. Well, I don’t think I did! The room we had (248) was large, clean, and had a nice view of the water. The beach was super easy to access. And the complimentary breakfast was tasty. I think this was a great hotel, maybe not as fancypants as the high rises surrounding it, but definitely worth a stay!
Located on the beach but very outdated hotel, rooms dark and not so clean anymore We’ve stayed at this hotel 5 times since 2017 and have noticed the decline each time Hard to believe this from a Hampton Inn property
I am working in Florida until the end of the year and my family meet me in Ft Walton to enjoy the weekend and see each other. The stay was great but the only issue was the beds were to hard and I didn’t get a peaceful night sleep the whole weekend. Also it would be nice to make people use the tongs at the buffet to grab food instead of reaching there hand in to grab bread, bagels etc. besides that I always enjoy my stays at Hilton properties.
Very run down and very dirty smelly , I would not recommend to stay in this hotel to anyone and the price was very high and was not worth it . Only good thing was location walking distance to beach 🏖
