I hadn't been to the Royal Palms in a couple of years and had heard lots of feedback regarding the change in management and that they were moving away from being known as a "gay resort". I'm happy to say that nothing has changed. The bar is open less hours each day, BUT Ronald, the bartender is top notch and...

What used to be a decidedly gay resort is now a resort fumblingly looking for an identity. It's not straight, it's not gay, is just very odd. From my check-in to check-out, I kept coming back to the same thing - why did I pay premium price for a so/so motel room? At check-in, I started to sense something was...

I've stayed a couple of times and this visit was just a quick overnight stay for an early flight the next day. For the price, I didn't have time to experience much of the property though everything seemed to be as I remembered from previous visits. For a quick visit, I would suggest parking in residential parking on Orton instead...

I've come here several years in the past prior to the new ownership, it was always a clean, attentive and well kept place where you felt catered to. Prior to booking this year we read the reviews and found it had been bought out and pulled into the North Beach Village group. Although I read many reviews that warned of...

I am a local who enjoys coming to the RP most Sundays and other days as well. Always a wonderful experience. Though Ronald, the bartender, makes my visit complete. Always so accommodating. He knows exactly my desired beverage and makes it perfectly. Sundays are always fun with locals and visitors exchanging pleasantries, swimming and enjoying the Florida sun. I'm thinking...

This resort takes you back in time to the 50s with updated amenities. Beautifully maintained pools, landscaping and wonderful staff. This is a must place to stay! The price is unbeatable!!!!❤️ the staff and owners greet you by name and continue to do so throughout your stay. Very contemporary decor and gorgeous.

We stayed one night before we sailed on an RSVP Cruise and it was just an average experience. The room we got was tucked in the back building and was very dark, damp, and nothing special. The bed was dry and comfy but it was just a room to sleep in.

We received excellent service from everyone particularly from the bartender Ronald. The best margaritas and very friendly. The pool is very nice and the place is very clean and very modern. The bar is very nice and you can sit down for a drink and listen great music. Ronald the bartender makes you feel at home.

I Recently stayed at this hotel for a few weeks. It was a perfect place for a long term stay and the rooms are spacious. More importantly, the staff treated me like family. Thanks Matt, Chun and Terry for being so hospitable and to Ronald at the pool bar for making the best cocktails in all of Fort Lauderdale! I...

Great location and fun art deco theme but hotel needs some love, decor getting worn out a bit. Not very accommodating and too busy to deal with needs. Needs more receptionist help and guidance. $38 for 2 weak pina coladas in plastic cups was a bit lame, made us leave the location for better deals on food/drinks. Beach and beach...
