Pretty bad stay here, one star was given because of the service at the dinner which was very fun, the waitress was very kind and helpful and another to the pool table the hotel has. The rooms were quite nice apart from the cockroach in the shower though a group of people were having a meeting right next to the...

Not sure where to begin--the bathroom with the toilet that you have to play with to stop it from running, the gross toilet paper holder, half the electric plugs dont work, half the light bulbs are out, no internet or wifi, super thin walls---had to listen to the person next door snoring all night. Then there is the missing shelf...

We visited the Rod and Gun Club last night for dinner with one other couple. Not only was the food delicious but the fish was caught that afternoon!!! Our waitor, Graham, will b remembered by us as not only excellent but very fun. It was an experience we will remember.

Loved my dinner...beautiful fresh snapper! Excellent. Our server, Graham, was outstanding....attentive and knowledgeable. This place has a very interesting history...wonderful "old Florida" atmosphere. The strip steaks, a special on the menu, were also prepared as ordered and were very good.

We stopped in for a beer just because we like historic places. So with that said, it is worth it to check out this place to step back in time and imagine it as it was in it's hay day. But the chaos, oh lordy. Nobody knew who was waiting on who and at every table heard a waitress say...

We had dinner at the Rod and Gun Club. Very Disappointing. The service was slow but the staff were friendly. The food was way over-priced and not something I would serve to someone. I had the Jumbo Shrimp, they were warm and very little flavor, the fries were barely warm and mushy. The coleslaw was just bad, My wife had...

Very interesting piece of old Florida history. Definitely worth a visit to see the old place. OK bar and ok food. Have not stayed there overnight but have heard that the rooms are kind of funky. Fine if you're into history, but not 5 stars for sure. Don't miss seeing the lobby and all the artifacts.

Yes, this is a historic inn and, if someone wanted to put in a lot of time, energy and money into the main building, it could be charming. But, really, it is a worn-down, dusty and even slightly dreary place. The cottages where guests stay should be razed and rebuilt. The one we stayed in was small, musty-smelling with furniture...

Stayed at the Rod&Gun Club last year and had a ball fished all day and came back to my room and had a great seafood meal in the dining room!!! Loved the ambiance and just the old time feel of the Club! Everyone should experience this place, friendly folks and relaxed attire, 3 presidents stayed there also heard Mick Jagger...
