My daughter got married here and we stayed in the Majestic Sun (12th floor).
Condo was overlooking the gulf which was very scenic. Very large patio and seating.
Condo seemed newly renovated and fit all 8 of us comfortably.

The condos were nice however ours was lacking some basic cooking necessaties such as glasses and spatulas. Stepping onto balcony was a trip hazard because there was a divider on the floor. Parking can be difficult. Also it is difficult to find staff for assistance....More
I don't typically write reviews, but felt this one was necessary. I don't have enough good things to say about this location as well as the unit. We stayed here 4/30-5/4 and the weather was perfect...not crowded at all either.

I did see a couple of pop up tents, but I agree with the wind, it may not stay. The best thing to do is visit one of the many souvenir shops on Scenic Gulf Dr and purchase an umbrella. If I recall they were only $10 which is what you will pay for daily rental. Definitely worth it even if you can't take it with you when you leave.
