Julie and Kate are there to provide an authentic farm experience. Their array of farm animals allows you to have many different interactions. From routine domestic pets such as cats, dogs and bird through to pigs, ponies and sheep. The breakfast and afternoon tea provided is a treat including home baked bread and treats. Cannot wait to return in December.

We had an amazing 4 days with Farmer Julie and Farmer Kate. Kids were excited and engaged day after day. Was a beautiful farm, animals were friendly and not scary for even my most timid child. Lots to do for the kids and the option to leave the kids for the afternoon while we went out for lunch was phenomenal - everyone had an amazing time. Our kids were 7, 5 and 5 - I think these were the perfect ages for a farmstay.

We had the best time at Ba Mack when we visited in March with our 3 year old daughter. Julie and Kate are fantastic hosts and made sure we were well taken care of with everyday provisions of fresh delicious food and an impressive list of activities to keep the children engaged. The animals were very sociable and my 3 year old enjoyed all of the farm activities her favourites were feeding the pigs, horse riding, colouring the pony and playing with the dogs. For afternoon tea Julie would whip up yummy goodies, homemade ice cream, scones, cookies. Julie is a master baker and her scones are one of the best I have tasted. Not having mobile network was a welcome change, watching a troop of kangaroos during sunrise, seeing horses galloping, sheep grazing, the feeling of being part of the land was truly humbling. We came back from our stay feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. My daughter keeps asking to go back to Ba Mack literally every week , she still speaks fondly of all of the animals there, especially Riley, Sally, Tess, Charlotte and Wilbur. Thank you Julie and Kate for welcoming us to your home, we cannot wait to be back !!

The provided food was plentiful and delicious and last but definitely not least the animals are sociable and the dogs absolutely adorable. We'll be back!

We stayed at the farm for 3 nights, in the train carriage with our 5 year old son and he didn’t want to leave. There was another family visiting at the same time with two older boys (late primary/year 7) who also loved it. I would highly recommend a visit, with younger or older kids or without kids if you love animals. The hospitality of Farmer Julie & Farmer Kate was amazing and their passion and openness to share their farm so nice. The food provisions were impressive with daily fresh bread & sausages, bacon & eggs etc. to cook up for breakfast. There were also afternoon treats Julie cooked up (and the kids could help) - the scones a highlight (so delicious). Each day we enjoyed lots of farm experiences for example - feeding - lambs, chickens, pigs, checking for eggs, visiting the shearing shed, brushing / washing horses / pony, horse rides, pony and cart rides, colouring a pony! Afternoons could be child-free with Julie looking after the kids after lunch, so the adults can go off and explore the local wineries. (Just make sure you plan beforehand as no mobile reception really, although you can use the landline). There was also play equipment and trampoline to entertain the kids when they weren’t engaging with the animals. Thanks Kate & Julie for a great time - we’ll be back! Ashton wants to cuddle Mr Carson (the kitten) and play with all the dogs again - especially Monty!
