I wanted to express my extreme displeasure with my recent stay at Ramada By Wyndham in Cocoa, Florida. The conditions in room 256 were atrocious. There was a ½ inch gap under the entrance door, which is an invitation for insects and lizards. The curtain rod was disconnected from the ceiling on one end. The mini fridge nearly fell out of it’s cubby when I tried to open the sticky door. The electrical outlet below the television wasn’t secured in place and came out of the receptacle when I removed my cell phone charger. The barn doors leading into the bathroom were incorrectly installed, both too low and crooked, so when they were closed, they were extremely difficult to open from the inside. There was no transition strip between the bathroom tile and the main room’s vinyl plank, which was a trip hazard. There was exposed wiring above the bathroom mirror. The bathroom floor tile had fingerprints of caulk all over the surface. The toilet paper dispenser was not secured to the wall and fell off when using the toilet paper. There was a one inch gap between the ceiling and wall in the shower. And the topper was the cockroaches running around the dining room at breakfast. This was the worst hotel in which I’ve ever stayed. This room should never have been available because of the safety hazards.

Needed a room for the night, had a appointment the following morning. I was charged $222.00 for the night for a room that wasn't worth $79.00. The room was terrible, no closet, no hair dryer, 2 hangers on a wall fixture and the bathroom was not fit to wash a dog. The toilet rocked when you sat on it, the tub was full of stains and the door was rotted out at the bottom. I have never stayed at a more discussing Hotel in all my 88 years of traveling everywhere in the World. We drove 165 miles on this last minute trip and we did not know this area at all and late at night. I should have known better, told the clerk the fee was outrages, we are seniors and were AAA members, but still were charger $222.00. We left in the morning without showering because the bathroom was discussing. I suggest no decent person stay at this Hotel at any price. We would have been better off sleeping in our car that is far cleaner than the room we were given.

Don't be fooled by the pictures on the website. This is located right next to a sketchy truck stop. You pull up and expect to check in at the front door but, no, you have to walk around to the back door to check in. The two Karens glaring at me from behind the desk were about as friendly as you would expect from any Karen. I didn't get the room I paid for. I reserved a single King bed on the first floor, non-smoking. I got two queens on the second floor over an RV full of cats, taking up three or four parking spots. The area smelled like cat urine. One of the staff was obviously living in the room near the RV as there was racks of potted plants and personal items near it. The linen cart and sweeper bucket outside was classy. The room was as expected from the outside. One garbage can for the whole room. Fridge didn't work and was stanky. Some ingenious individual even cut the sheet rock for pockets to put tissues and toilet paper in. This motel is a fifty dollar a night no tell motel kinda joint that should, or maybe already has hourly rates. I didn't partake in the breakfast because after seeing everything else why would you consider eating there?

It looked like it wasn’t even open and was under construction. There was a man in a construction vehicle just sitting in the truck doing nothing and he had his music blaring for hours. When we went to breakfast at 9:00 there was not much food out and when we asked the man for more waffle batter he said “no more!” The orange juice was watered down and while we were eating a roach crawled across the floor.

DISGUSTING!! I read reviews n thought people were being over reactive. Nope!! Check in was the best part of our stay. Upon arriving the hotel looked abandoned. We drive around the building twice before we seen a small door on the side of the building with a light on and that was where you enter to check in. No hot water! I mean NONE! Coffee maker don’t work, laundry services broke down, none available. Breakfast .. not edible. I heard other guests saying rat poison was better than what was offered. If you wanted waffles you needed to take a cup and scoop the clumpy mixture out because of the clumps it would not our from the spout. (100% not sanitary) and the waffles stuck to the waffle maker.. toast.. hard butter, apple jelly or grape jelly.. those are your options. Cereal.. sure if you like watered down milk. The eggs were flat dry round pancake looking. Tiny pieces of sandwich type dry ham. You cold see daylight through the door, dead bugs all over in window sill. Sketchy people hanging out, we stayed for 2 nights as we only needed a bed, fireworks went off each night from the parking lot, we didn’t feel safe. Hope they can turn this around after renovations maybe? I contacted Wyndham hotels directly about this property!

Where do I begin... first the GOOD, comfortable bed and one washer/dryer worked. The BAD, a horrid place to stay IMHO. We called a week ahead of our booking and asked some questions. One of which was needing an extra pillow and the other was if thier pool was open since they advertised it as such. They stated the pool pumps were down due to rain but assured us it was being fixed and will be back up before our stay. However, the pool was down the entire week. After three days we checked with front desk attendant if pool was fixed yet. The guy said the same exact lie again that due to the rain pool pumps were down. My wife smiled at him and said come on the rain? At which point he started yelling at my wife and said "If you don't like it I will check you out and call the police on you for trespassing". Really trespassing? Umnnn we paid for our stay in full and were lied to about your accomodations and amenities. Pool gate was locked so there was no where to sit outside. No benches or chairs outside of rooms. Bfast was horrid also. Mini muffins and waffles but waffle machine did not work. Cream cheese looked like it was sitting out. No eggs, or sausage. Toaster gets stuck and burnes toast. No juice in the machine. No tea bags. People were watched like hawks if leaving with any items. BBQs had rust falling off and looked like they haven't been cleaned in months. First room we checked in didn't have a chair or a phone in it. Hot water did not work so we requested to switch rooms. Hair dryer and iron were unsafely placed on bathroom counter. Faucet was not secure to counter and came up in hand. Refrigerator and AC made loud noise all day and night. Only one plastic throw away hanger. No luggage rack. Rooms we not cleaned regularly and when they did come to clean at our request we were told to move our things to one side of the room which everything of ours already was. NASTY DISGUSTING ROACHES IN THE ROOM (SEE PICTURES). Wood Pallets left in hallways. RV Camper parked in the lot all week. When we checked in we asked if they had a baggage cart and were told no. But when we switched rooms the guy came with a baggage cart. Just another lie we were told. Our stay was just horrid and I would not reccomend this place to anyone. It's litterally the worst place we ever stayed at. Run away, don't walk.

This place was an active construction zone and didn't feel safe. During the day it was very loud from the construction. At night there were people outside talking loudly at 2 and 3 am. The pool was closed and the breakfast was just a waffle maker and some cereal. The air conditioner smelled weird, some electric outlets didn't work, the tv appeared to be about 15+ years old, and only 1 towel was provided. This place shouldn't even be open while being remodeled. When they are done, the rate should be half what we paid.

We stayed here for our cruise. Location to Port Canaveral is convenient. At $100 a night it’s overpriced. You get what you pay for. There was no furniture except a bed. There was a desk without a chair. Refrigerator was not working, no microwave. The sink leaked. The bathroom has a horrendous smell. The ice machine was broken. Breakfast was interesting…frozen cookies, some cold cuts ham slices with some sort of gravy with “Rock like” biscuits. Cereal and milk was available. People seemed to be enjoying the waffles . Coffee was clear with brown sediment. Staff very nice offered to shuttle us to port…we politely declined. On a positive note, My husband said he slept very well on the bed . Ask for extra pillows. They did have new floor and fresh paint, it seemed fairly clean but I take Clorox wipes and flip flops to walk around.

Where to begin -- a few good things: the beds were very comfortable and the shower was fine. The room was moderately clean (hard to keep clean with water right outside the door) on the days that housekeeping came. And the person who was at the front desk when we arrived (May 24, evening) was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Also, the maintenance person who came to try to fix the lights was very helpful in moving our luggage to the next room and the one after that. BUT this hotel should not even have been open for business with all the construction going on and limited staff. We had to try three rooms the first night to find one that had bedside lights that worked, and also a TV that worked. Unfortunately we didn't notice that this room had no towels, and it took a while to get them (no hand towels but we managed). We had to navigate HUGE puddles right outside our room (no, you are not responsible for the weather; but you should be well aware of Florida's torrential rains and work on proper landscaping and drainage so people don't have to ford a river to get in and out of their rooms), which meant that the floor was always wet and the room felt very damp. Housekeeping was intermittent (even if sheets and towels aren't changed, aren't they still supposed to come in and clean?) When they did come (after a long wait), they didn't bring enough towels (another long wait); also took away the shower curtain -- had to call and ask for one. The room was okay, but it was minimally furnished, and it was annoying that there was no bureau and no closet or clothes rack for hanging things, just a couple of hooks in the sink area -- we were there for a few days and would have liked to unpack a bit. Full breakfast? No eggs at all the first couple of days (was told that there was a delivery problem). The rest was unappealing and not appropriate for someone who does not eat meat. But we honestly didn't even bother after the first couple of days. The most troubling thing was the lack of any smoke alarm in the room. The front desk person insisted that there was one, but when I took pictures of the area where he said one would be, showing just some wiring coming out of the wall, he apologized and said it would be reported to management. Also, the switch plate in the sink area was missing, leaving exposed wiring right next to the sink. And the hair dryer was not installed on the wall, making it difficult to use (luckily I brought my own). Clearly this room (and others we first tried) were not ready for safe occupancy. You are very lucky (and so are we, obviously) that there wasn't a fire, especially with all the construction going on. We routinely choose Choice Hotels when traveling, and decided to try Wyndham this time, especially because we thought Ramada Inn was a good hotel. We will definitely NOT use Wyndham again, would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and will be going back to Choice Hotels in the future.
