We came to the Quality Inn after our previous hotel turned out to be awful. They were booked but found a way to help us and give us a room for 3 days and make it affordable! The room smelled great, was spacious and well...More
First of all its not easily accessible. The main entrance is off an access road. They neglect to tell you they have a back entrance that is much more convenient. The Wi-Fi has to be the worst I've encountered in all my travels. Housekeeping is...More
The room smells, went out and got some spray and candle, and that did help. Very old and outdated furniture. If you donated the furniture to a charity they would throw it away. We complained about the smell and were told they had no rooms...More
Got there and was offered a "special deal" on a suite. Normally 350.00 a night and for me 199.00. Just got off a international flight and no other local hotels had rooms. Got checked in and first showered, the tub didn't want to drain. Also...More
If your GPS tells you to get onto US 19, don't do it. Stay on the west access road and you'll come to it eventually. The hotel is at the corner of the west access road and Druid, but there's no entrance off of Druid....More

Can you please tell me how close you are to the beach? St. Pete? Tampa?

Not that close, but which beach are you talking about? There's a nice beach at Fred Howard Park, which I'd guess is about a 20 minute drive from the hotel. The beach at Fred Howard Park is very nice and a short drive away, but, the beach at Caladesi Island is world class! I'd recommend it if you have the time to go there. I believe the nearest town to it is Dunedin, and you have to go to the state park there and take a ferry to the beach. As I recall, the ferry costs about $5.00 per person, but it's worth it. It's a nice short ride through the Mangroves to get there, and there is a locker room where you can change into your swim suit, a snack bar and a shower to rinse off.
Caladesi Island beach is well worth the extra drive and the fare for the ferry. If you're only going to one beach, splurge and go to Caladesi!

Hi there, I will be staying with you for over a week in mid October. And I am wondering if the poolside rooms (which I have booked) have been updated at all? I'm weary because of so many poor reviews.
But I would like to look forward to staying with you. As I used to stay at the 'Sun Coast Inn' many times for years and years before it was a Quality Inn.
