We felt right at home and relaxed quite well in this beautiful quaint old inn. The inn is full of unique character just like this region of Florida. Skip and Kathy were very cordial and generous hosts and we look forward to our next stay.

Our room was very clean and decorated nicely! The bed, was in need of a new mattress. We kept falling into the middle and it squeeked. We did not sleep well at all . It was hot and cool during the night. The pillows weren't great either. The inn keepers had a fridge so we could keep our snacks cold...

Actually, there is no "New" Carrabelle Hotel, as best I could tell in this small but pleasant backwater Gulf-coast town whose primary industry (not unlike many land-locked backwater towns in Georgia) seems to be the fairly large penal complex in the woods on the way into town. Carrabelle takes its rightful place on Florida's "Forgotten Coast" and that's a good...

I stayed in the flamingo room and absolutely loved it! There are nice touches all around this inn that was renovated with great care and love! The hosts are very friendly and extremely helpful. I also enjoyed the local breakfast down the road.

My wife and I took a mini-vacation from Tallahassee to Carrabelle, Florida (about 80 minutes' drive from home). We stayed at the Old Carrabelle Hotel in downtown Carrabelle (all 4 blocks of it). Our room was small, like what you get in many New York City older hotels, but the bathroom was large. The bedroom area held a queen bed,...

Beautifully restored 100+ year old hotel. 4 rooms on site. Breakfast vouchers with 3 off site options. We are looking forward to staying there again in April 2016. Great town. Lots of other things to do nearby. Hosts are very accommodating and attend to issues promptly.

This B&B is a bed, but only a voucher for breakfast in participating local restaurants. All 4 rooms are upstairs in this charming old house. Although air conditioned, no way to control temperature in individual rooms, on a hot July night this was an issue. I wont dispute the size of the bed in the Flamingo Room, but the bed...

Bed and breakfast denotes peaceful sleep and breakfast upon rising. This is neither. It's midnight and the music is louder each minute. Behind the flamingo room. If I wanted a live music experience, I would have chosen a motel near the beach. It's absurdly loud. Also, the breakfast is served via 5 minute car ride at a restaurant with a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Old Carrabelle Hotel in Carrabelle, Florida is a "Key West style inn on The Forgotten Coast". Once the end-of-the-line railroad hotel, now you may enjoy all the modern comforts in an Old Florida casual atmosphere. There is just something about the experience of a 1900-ish inn at the coast (or a coastal cottage at the coast) that no newer motel-hotel can equal. And we are a very different B&B operation - free beach restaurant breakfasts for Hotel guests, and self check-in -- just for starters. Make your own reservation online, and receive back a confirmation with all the info you may need. Don't Expect: traffic lights, lots of people, McHamburgers, bungee jumps or late-night noise. Do expect: the best seafood, eco-activity opportunities in every direction, cultural/historical activities and a lot of peace and quiet time on the property, in the forest or on the beach or water! ... more   less
