We stayed there off season and were able to get a primitive spot right on the water. There was plenty of room for a tent or small trailer. Good bathroom, most everything worked well enough. Price was reasonable. August was super hot. The tide came in at night but still stayed twenty feet from our spot. The smell of the...

My family (me, wife, boy (7 year old) and girl (2 year old) stayed at the Campground this past Aug 2016. We stated in RV site #25. The park is nice and quiet. Nice grounds and the trails are also very nice. We stayed in our pop-up camper. We are beach people. The beaches in this park just like the...

This is my favorite campground. The campsites are close together, but each one has completely privacy due to very well-done hedges between. So, you can hear your neighbors, but you can't really see them. Most campsites are narrow, but deep, with plenty of space. Many campsites are water-front; I believe all of them are water-view! The bathrooms here are the...

Had a beautiful camping trip here. Beaches are not staged for bathers. They are naturally preserved and sea grass smell can be a bit much, but gorgeous and good snorkeling. We saw barracuda, crab, and coral, conch, parrot fish, baby shark, pelicans, cormorants, iguanas, egrets, sandhill cranes arriving for winter, sunset on bridge and great views of old Flagler railroad....

Booked a three night stay at the state park but had to checkout a day early due to too many factors. First and foremost, our site in the bayside is tiny, no electricity, the raccoons and the bugs are brutal. The bugs even came in through the tent wholes at night not allowing us to get any sleep. The beach...

The water here is absolutely gorgeous. What you see in all of the pictures is absolutely true! Clear turquoise water at its most beautiful. The beaches here...disappointing. I have no idea how they were rated number one. There is hardly any beach and what there is is covered by sea grass. You need a shovel to clear a place to...

I feel like this park is over hyped. Booked months in advance, drove down from Ohio to experience dirty stinky beaches. maybe wrong time of year? (September) Dirty unkept bath houses, for costing has much as Disney campground we thought it would be a little cleaner...

So do a lot of people, so expect crowds during peak times. Also there is a fee to get in. There are so many small and more secluded beaches in the Keys this one might not be your first choice. What is great about Bahia Honda: there are two sides (Bay & Ocean), so there is usually a windy side...

To explain how much we love this place: we planned our wedding around getting to honeymoon at campsite 68. We have camped at Sandspur 5 weeks total and have weeks 6 through 8 already booked (anniversaries # 1 &2 will have been spent there). What wonderful things need to be said about camping here: waking up to sunrise on the...
