Went to this great place 2 weekends ago with a group of friends.... the only drawback is the distance... from Miami it take a little bit over 3 hours to get there, and the road is an arrow one... once you get there it's really nice. There's a souvenir store, washrooms, showers, kayak rental.... the beach is really nice, we...

This state park has lots of places to just enjoy the beach. The water had too much seaweed for us to snorkel, but we went on the bridge overlook and it is beautiful. Ice cream and snacks are sold in the concession stand and are really reasonable

We had a wonderful time snorkeling! We went out with the charter associated with Bahia Honda state park and they were professional, knowledgeable, and laid back. They did an amazing job with a large crowd and made sure everyone was both safe and having an incredible experience. Make sure to watch the weather and water conditions as snorkeling is highly...

Very, very nice campground. Clean and well tended bathrooms and showers. We stayed with friends who have a fifth wheel. Quiet and right on the water. Must make reservations 11 months in advance but it's worth the effort. Just a 45 minute drive to Key West

Bahia Honda is a true gem in the keys. You'll soak in plenty of beauty just by going to the beaches, but the snorkeling tour is a MUST-DO. Sure, other tours will include the gear in their tour costs, but some of them skimp on the safety features of their vessel. You can be sure the State Park doesn't do...

The east side of the parks water are not quite as inviting but never the less, a perfect spot to relax without all the bustle of...

We stayed in a tent on site 26 for 6 nights. The site is large and fairly private with vegetation on both sides. The down side of this site if the road noise! It is awful! It goes on day and night! The best thing to buffer the sound is when the wind blows. This site is not waterfront, so...

I reserved this campsite about 2 weeks before our trip to the Keys, and was lucky to get it. This is a very clean, scenic park. The sites in the Sandspur campsite are enclosed by trees and bushes, and are very private, if close to each other. Our site was plenty large enough for our (small) car and our large...

I almost gave this 4 stars but cannot. The location is definitely 5 stars but if you are camping, read on: First, let me say that I love camping, the ocean, camping near the ocean, and snorkeling especially when the water is turquoise like it is here. My family camped at the Bayside campground on the far side of the...

Went to the park on a cloudy day so went into the visitors center. And were so gald we did. They had info about the parks animals and fish life & cool kid activities. The weather cleared up and we went on the nature trail. Lots of trees and flowers. At one point on the trail, we ended up on...
