Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

I'm a new owner of a camper and wanted to experience a summer season at the beach. After researching campgrounds near Rehoboth Beach, I found Big Oaks to be very reasonable and family friendly. I signed up for seasonal use and parked my camper on one of their sites. I love the fact you are able to leave the camper...

our family just stayed at big oaks campground 6/8-6/9 in the cabins. Ill start by saying we read reviews like everyone else with mixed signals so we decided to give it a shot ourselves. Overall we had an excellent stay besides the raccoons having a midnight BBQ on our porch in middle of night haha! but that's part of camping...

My husband and I arrived one week prior to Memorial Day. Check in was very easy, nice customer relations. Come with cash, no credit cards or out of state checks accepted. Luckily the camp ground was mostly empty because the sites are quite small. Free showers but not always hot. Clean facilities which are important. Store was well stocked. Close...

I have to defend Big Oaks after reading the string of poor ratings. Firstly, there is no blood or matriarchal involvment. M myself family and friends andie stayed here 10 years with no disappointment. Big Oaks is /has family owned operated. My 80yo wanted to do a week in Rehoboth and I was on the 2 week deadline. I called...

This owner is the most unprofessional, rude, condescending person I have ever met. Super rude to myself and my guests. Had we not already had our reservations, we would NOT have stayed. The only thing I could do was keep the reservation but I can tell you we will NEVER come back here and I will tell every single person...

We arrived here late in the afternoon after a drive up the Delmarva peninsula from Virginia. When we pulled in the campgrounds, appeared to be clean and well maintained. This is a cash only facility and you pay up front. Our site had week cable signal but the office had a fix, a booster box. It worked! They did charge...

We hope to extend our wifi network in the future, but for now it is only available around the office, pool, and playground. We have made updates to some of the bathhouses. They do see hard use, which contributes to issues such as missing tiles. We do try to address these issues in a timely manner. We hope that you...

Confederate flags flying high and proud on all flag poles, facility vehicles, and sold in the camp store/office. Staff (Bless-their-Hearts) were glad to take my money, but as a gay man I felt very unsafe and left immediately. I had made my reservation online, arrived late at night and didn't see any "red flags" till I awoke in the morning...

We do not have Confederate flags flying on all of our flag poles. We also have American flags, Delaware state flags, flags for each branch of the military as well as the state flags of Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, and New Jersey. We welcome all campers regardless of race, age, gender, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. You...

Thought I had made a reservation for a great Fall get away- I was wrong. Didn't work out for me. It was a total online booking. Got there late at night. Unpacked all my stuff for a cabin camping experience. The next morning I noticed Confederate Flags flying all over the grounds. As an ethnic minority I was very uncomfortable....

We have never taken online reservations. We welcome families of all ethnicities. I'm not sure what connection is trying to be made to the Confederate flag, but the owner has ancestors who fought in the Civil War and is a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. He flies the flag to honor his heritage. He also flies the American...

It's hard to find a decent campground at the shore. This was our second visit to Big Oaks, and we'll likely return since it has many trees to give you a good amount of shade. Other campgrounds in the area resemble a parking lot with no shade. The pool is quite nice and the location is really convenient, right off...

We actually do have 4 different bathroom locations. The next time that you stay with us, please ask and we will make sure that you know where they are. The same goes with trash left on a site; if you make us aware of it, we will take care of it.
