Do not try and reserve a room online unless you buy pigs in a poke. There is no way to make a reservation online and know what you will get or what it will cost. Even though the online form says: "This is a REQUEST for reservations form. We will contact you via e-mail or phone to COMFIRM the AVAILABILITY... More

While we stayed in February (off-peak) it was very quiet and pleasant. The hotel is charming, simple and clean. The in-town setting is great, there's a pub around the corner and a great bakery with coffee just up the block. Lewes is a great place to take a walk and relax.

We have seen this hotel many times and decided to spend a few nights there. It was a very enjoyable time spent in a very historical town. The staff was friendly and helpful as well as the attendants that cleaned up the room for us. The hotel was very clean. We had no problem parking - some of the time... More

My visit to Lewes was spur-of-the-moment for one night. The Manager, Cathy, quickly handled my check-in so that I could settle in and enjoy the day. I enjoyed a bright, spotlessly clean, corner room.I love the feel of this charming hotel and appreciated the convenience of the Rose & Crown in-house restaurant. It is walking distance to everything. The next morning... More

Hotel Rodney has an interesting history, as outlined in the article included in the hotel services book in the guest rooms. Originally built in 1926, it has gone through several lodging iterations, and is now a singular “boutique” hotel in the heart of downtown Lewes. Although the accommodations may not be considered truly “upscale” or fancy, it is a nonetheless... More

Planned a short summer holiday, to enjoy some time with my brother (who lives overseas), and it was the only reason I finished our stay at the Hotel Rodney. First step into room #101 I was hit with a damp, musty, moldy smell. I immediately went down to the front desk to report. Hotel was full that night so could not give... More

Quaint old hotel with 1930s Era charm. Room was very small but very clean. Location was right in the heart of Lewes so walking distance to all the good restaurants, bars, and shopping. There is a fitness room downstairs with limited equipment, including tread mills, bikes, and I believe a weight set up (not free weights that I could see)

I just discovered Hotel Rodney, and recently stayed here for a business trip. It is the perfect hybrid of a NYC boutique hotel and a vintage inn- and the pictures online don't do it justice. My room was very clean and overlooked 2nd street. The location is great because all the little shops in Lewes are walkable. Agave, one of... More

Had a wonderful weekend at Hotel Rodney. Room was very clean and the cheapest in Lewes for this time of year. The hotel is located in the heart of Lewes, so, you do not need to get in your car to travel to dinner or to shop.

My wife and I spent a 3 day getaway here last month. The hotel is located near the center of the town and an easy walk/ bike to the beach. Across the street is the historic and expertly manicured churchyard. The hotel reception is very low key-- you will likely never see hotel staff once you check in, unless you... More
