Upon your arrival to this beautiful bed and breakfast you will feel welcomed. Jim and Ruth our kind and gracious hosts add personal touches to your stay, such as fresh fruit in your room and fresh flowers. The gardens outside are tended with love and care and sitting on their beautiful porch swing in the evening is a must do....

My girlfriend and I spent a lovely weekend at this B&B. We have stayed at many a B&B around the country and can say that the Virden House is up there at top. From the reservation experience to the attentive care we enjoyed, Jim and Ruth were most gracious. My girlfriend has quite a few dietary restrictions and B&Bs have...

Jim and Ruth, the innkeepers, have created a remarkable place, as evidenced but he fact that all the guest in this small (four bedroom) b and b have been here before. Ruth is a marvelous chef and the breakfast they serve is sumptuous (and never the same - they keep a computerized record of the breakfasts they have previously served...

Our family stayed at the Virden house for four nights in the beginning of July. We had a wonderful time and were very well taken care of by Ruth and Jim. They helped us with everything we asked for from checking the availability of the tennis courts to recommending restaurants. As we went to the beach during the days we...

My boyfriend and I recently visited this B&B- as my first one, and his "many-th" time and it exceeded both of our expectations! We stayed in the master room, and everything was clean, gorgeous, and the home in itself has many antiques and things to enjoy! We were greeted with wine and cheese, a tour of the entire home and...

For two hot days in July, we filled up Virden House (two families on vacation together), and were very pleased with the service and personal attention and care that Jim and Ruth put into making our stay memorable. The house is extremely charming, and it is obvious that they have put a great deal of effort into making it something...

A lot of Americana and a little bit of heaven. It has been an amazing experience and if you ever find yourself in Lewes, De this is the place to stay. The breakfast was simply wonderful and the accommodations beyond measure. Jim and Ruth were the epitomy of par excellence.

We had a fantastic stay at Virden House, a 120 year old bed and breakfast in Lewes! Beautifully landscaped and impeccably furnished.Ruth and Jim were wonderful hosts to my wife and I. The breakfasts each morning were gourmet quality recipes from local ingredients. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The 150 year old bed was extremely comfortable.

Just stayed for one night while looking for a home in Delaware. The owners were very nice and we had a good breakfast. It was close to a few restaurants right down the street which was convenient. It was cold so we didn't sit outside at all. Being it was just a night I can't say much more but it...
