We had a wonderful time!!Accommodations were beautiful and luxurious. Breakfast was delectable! Having wine and cheese available each evening added to the overall pampered vibe. The porch right on second street was our favorite part of the house! Jim and Ruth were warm, friendly innkeepers. And the house is situated in a perfect location making all that Lewes had to...

Truth be told...I've only been to one, but I've become a regular here and it's perfect every time! Jim and Ruth are the best hostesses! Great location. Quiet street. Fantastic beds and the best breakfasts I've ever eaten!

Location: at the end of the main drag in Historic Lewes, and still no traffic or noise on an unseasonably warm spring Saturday. Accommodations: Asked for a little privacy and was given a room with a separate entrance. Fresh fruit when we arrived, chocolates and port when we got back from dinner, and a custom, gourmet breakfast served to the...

This was our first stay at this wonderful B&B and we've already booked a return weekend. Everything was perfect: amazing house, fresh flowers, scrumptious breakfast, afternoon wine and cheese, and evening port and chocolates. Thanks to Ruth and Jim for making us so welcome in their home. Looking forward to our return!

I cannot say enough about our stay this weekend. Ruth and Jim were the best! We needed a quiet weekend away from the kids to celebrate our anniversary but it was so much more! Greeted with wine, fresh flowers and cheese, we were given the royal tour of the home and welcomed with a smile! Ruth and Jim did everything...

The Innkeepers, Ruth and Jim, have got it all together. Ruth greeted us at their beautifully appointed B&B's front door with a warm and inviting smile to begin our two-night stay. And it only got better from there. We stayed in the second-floor guest room: The Penrose. The room overlooks a quiet Main Street. The room was very spacious with...

Their inn is lovely and impressive in its detail. We'll always remember our visit and the warm hospitality of Ruth & Jim. We'll be planning a return visit during the summer or...

I had the pleasure of staying at the Virden House for a 25 year friendship celebration with my dear friends. The house is beautiful and the accommodations were perfect, we felt right at home. Ruth and Jim paid so much attention to the details that we felt spoiled all weekend long. I am already looking forward to a return visit.

We stayed in the cottage and it was charming! Very spacious room with a sitting area. The innkeepers Ruth and Jim are very attentive and welcoming. The surprise goodies and snacks were yummy but the best of all was the breakfast! Multiple courses and oh so delicious!
