My wife and I stopped at the Watermill whilst on a short break in the lakes; a few thoughts... Location: A nice village location but not too far of the beaten track, you get the whole open fire thing etc and its popular with walkers and locals alike. Rooms: This wasn't our first stay at the Watermill but the place...

Enjoyed a nice night away here but it could have been so much better. Firstly the room was comfortable and clean and was everything you would want it to be. The beer is brewed on site and is to be kind...ok as is the bar area and dinning room. We had our evening meal here where we had the hummous...

We were looking for somewhere near Kendal which was dog friendly. So we went to the Watermill which was a 10 minute drive from Kendal. When we arrived we found a table easily in the bar as it was very quiet, the woman behind the bar gave the dog a number of biscuits. We sat near the fire as it...

Had this pub recommended to me by a friend who had recently visited. During a family stay in Windermere we stopped by for a drink and can say what a gem this place is If you're a dog lover then this is the place for you. Almost every table including ours had a dog it was fabulous I think you...

Travelled to the Lakes in October and had a very enjoyable couple of days in the MacDonald Old English Hotel and Spa. On our way home we called in to the Windmill Inn and decided we would book a 2 nights for the following month. We paid 50% deposit. The following week we changed the booking to just the Saturday...

Having spoken to you, followed this matter from day one you have rung up quiet a lot and read your review, I am quiet happy to support our Staff 100% on this booking. Having only 8 bedrooms we can not afford to let someone hold a room for a month then cancel with a few days to arrival leaving us...

Having found the Watermill a little disappointing on our last visit we decided to give it another go. I am so glad we did. The food was back to its previously high standards. The game casserole topped with dauphinoise potatoes was particularly good, and the beef any collywobbles (their own beer!) pie also excellent. They look after your dog too...

Stopped off for a Saturday tea and was really impressed at the quality and portion size of the meals. Good local beer too. The steak and ale pie that my girlfriend had was the best I've ever tasted and the game casserole wasn't far behind. Good service and reasonably priced. Would come here again.

We visited following a recommendation from friends and were certainly not disappointed. They brew their own beers at the pub and the one I tried was excellent. There are however too many to try in one visit! We decided to stay for lunch which was homemade with large portions. We had the collywobble steak pie which was a large portion...

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to have lunch on our way to Windermere. Spotted the Watermill and decided to stop, glad we did as it was really nice. Food was fantastic (we both had the Steak and Ale pie). |There is also a micro brewery at the pub and they sell beer to take home. Highly recommended...

We stopped here on our way for a weekend in The Lakes.....we were thrilled, it was fantastic. My husband is a real ale fan and was very impressed with the brews. We had a light lunch which was excellent quality and well priced. The staff were lovely. You won't be disappointed.
