We visited following a recommendation from friends and were certainly not disappointed. They brew their own beers at the pub and the one I tried was excellent. There are however too many to try in one visit! We decided to stay for lunch which was homemade with large portions. We had the collywobble steak pie which was a large portion... More

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to have lunch on our way to Windermere. Spotted the Watermill and decided to stop, glad we did as it was really nice. Food was fantastic (we both had the Steak and Ale pie). |There is also a micro brewery at the pub and they sell beer to take home. Highly recommended... More

We stopped here on our way for a weekend in The Lakes.....we were thrilled, it was fantastic. My husband is a real ale fan and was very impressed with the brews. We had a light lunch which was excellent quality and well priced. The staff were lovely. You won't be disappointed.

Stayed here for just 1 night as it was all our schedule would allow, could have stayed forever! Great food, lovely rooms, yummy breakfasts, fantastic staff. Will be back very soon, thank you. It's great for walkers with muddy boots and you can take your dog with you, they are even allowed to stay in the rooms with you. Our... More

Always stop here on the way home from a day in the Lakes. A great little pub with a mass of real ales that are truly drinkable and memorable! Great food, pleasant service and good value. Early evening is the quieter period to choose.

We stayed here for a night recently and really enjoyed our visit the rooms were warm comfortable clean and spacious There was a good variety of cask ales to try and the evening meal was really good and reasonably priced You can't book a table even if you are resident but we had no trouble finding one. We were delighted to find this amazing place and as we only had one night there, we shall look forward to returning. The room, staff and standard of food were all excellent. It is a particularly friendly establishment and extremely welcoming of dogs. Highly recommended.

A party of 12 of us called in on our way from Windermere for a meal. Staff were very friendly and attentive and we were served quickly. The steak and ale pie was delicious as was the mackerel with a fabulous creamy prawn sauce. The children loved their homemade burgers and pizzas. The cobbywobble ale went down a treat too!... More

Stopped for lunch as we usually do on the way to our cottage in the lakes. The new look since the flooding is a real benefit - lighter, well designed. Menu was really good, particularly the gluten free menu. Gluten free sticky toffee pudding was a result!
