Stopped at the pub for a leisurely lunch with family and our two dogs. Wonderful range of real ales and good selection of well cooked food. The staff are really friendly, even to the point of trying to find us an alternative route home to avoid two vicious dogs on a nearby farm. They even gave the dogs a bowl...

Went for an evening meal with the family. No booking required. Had a variety of mains including the best fish and chips I've had, with the possible exception of Whitby. Elderly mother in law, who can't eat a large meal was able to order a 'small' gammon. We thoroughly enjoyed it all. Added to this they had a great selection...

This is a great hotel for a no frills dog friendly stay. Great location, only 5 minutes drive into Windermere. Rooms are quite dated but very clean with modern shower room. Lovely shower gel provided but no shampoo or conditioner. Room 8 has a huge balcony which our two dogs loved. Tea and coffee provided but would have been nice...

This is the second time we stopped at the Watermill Inn and it remains my favourite pub in the Lakes. Good Friday (lunchtime) was as you would expect very busy. Even so we got a table of 4 on arrival (there are quite a lot of tables). Menu is varied and much more than a bar snack (although this is...

A perfect pit stop on your way home from the Lake District. The food is great, there's a wide variety of drinks and the staff are friendly. The atmosphere is also very good, the bar and restaurant and kept clean and have a very modern, comfortable feel to them. Would stay again.

Me and my partner stayed at the watermill for just one night, but wished we had booked it for longer. Complimentary breakfast was amazing with lots to choose from, including a wide range of hot foods. The staff were happy to help always, especially the gentleman who served us on Tuesday the 11th of April at approx 5:00pm. My partner...

We were driving through Cumbria on a family road trip and stopped at the Watermill for a quick dinner. Couldn't have been happier the location was great for a stop. The pub was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful! We ordered the food and it was at the table in what felt like seconds. Now it...
