This incredibly restored B&B hits all the right notes: extremely well cared for and restored mansion with an eye for authenticity without sacrificing modern comforts; excellent breakfasts and wonderful hosts. I'm only giving a 4/5 because I felt the rate was a bit too much for the season and the size of the room. In all other aspects, this is...

If you ever plan to visit this area you must stay at this property. If you never plan to travel to this area, you should probably adjust your plans and make an effort to do so. The location is walking distance to a downtown area with a nice variety of food establishments and the historic area has beautiful architecture and...

This is such a beautiful property and such a lovely place to stay. I wish that I had known about it sooner as I would have stayed here the duration of my visit to Connecticut. John was so friendly and responded right away to my inquiries prior to my arrival. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable and the...

The Silas W Robbins House is a gem in the historic neighbourhood of Old Wethersfield. We stayed there between visiting some of the largest cities in the US, where we found some much-needed peace and quiet. The house is beautifully restored (and make sure you learn about the story of its near demise and later restoration). The lawn and gardens...

It is rare to see a B & B with such excellent reviews but this is truly an exceptional place. We have stayed in some great places over the years including the top rated (by TripAdvisor’s standards) B & B in Europe. I can really say that Shireen and John’s place ranks up there. You can always tell how good...

The Silas Robins House is a beautifully restored mansion complete with period furniture, a reading library, and a large porch that overlooks a well landscaped yard with flowers, trees, and shrubs overlooking the Old Wethersfield common area. My wife and I stayed two nights. Shireen and John were our hosts and were like friends from the start. Our room was...

The Silas W. Robbins House is a gorgeous, meticulously restored home on the Village Green in Old Wethersfield. Almost all the homes on the Green are well-preserved, historic homes, but this one is clearly the jewel in the crown. It has to be seen to be believed. You will not regret staying here! Highly recommend.

I always seek out historic inns, B&B, and hotels when traveling. I have never come across such an incredibly beautiful and breath-taking property. Absolutely gorgeous. I loved my room and breakfast was great. Wish I could have stayed for more than one night.

Reading the reviews and the ratings for this property, it is easy to feel confident that it is a very special place. My husband and I love history and historical houses and we have seen quite a few. However, when we walked in for the first time, I am sure our jaws dropped to our knees. The more we got...

The moment we laid our eyes on the pictures of this remarkable property we knew that we found the place we would stay in during our visit to the Hartford area. We made a reservation many months in advance knowing that our stay would be nothing less than wonderful, but nothing prepared us to how amazing and beautiful the Silas...
