We stayed here for 10 nights in October. The accommodation is simple but just what you need. Nikos was a charming host and could not do more to ensure that our stay was perfect. The food in the restaurant was delicious and after a days walking we looked forward to coming back to sample what was on offer in the...

We first discovered these rooms back in 2002, and have been back 4 times since. Nothing is too much trouble for Nikos. He also manages the restaurant downstairs, but always with a smile, from fetching us from the ferry at 01.30 in the morning, to making sure we are comfortable up in our room, even offering us a bite to...

We've just had another great evening at the restaurant. The food is locally caught/produced and delicious with an atmosphere that is traditionally Greek. The view over the harbour is one of the best. Thoroughly recommended.

I only had a one night stay but I couldn't fault it. My room was basic but had everything I needed plus it was clean, had a huge balcony and great views down to the harbour. Breakfast was included in my room rate and I just picked random things from the menu which didn't seem to incur any extra cost....

Our clean and spacious room above the taverna had everything we needed - a good bed, a decent bathroom and enough facilities for basic meal/drink making. Above all, the balcony with its wonderful views down over the town and bay was perfect for early morning or late evening watching of the comings and goings around the harbour. This is a...

I was not staying in here to sleep but I was having most of my dinners here and meeting with friends for a week. the owners are very friendly, there are nice views and the food is good with the right balance price for quality. So I highly recommend the Taberna.

Small place with only 5 rooms in a good condition. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday in a very quiet island. Good location right in the small village by the port. Great comfortable bed and a fantastic balcony with a lovely view over the sea. Taverna in the same building. Nice for a quiet, laid back holiday!

Rooms above tavernas are not in fact as common as people think but this little hotel is about five rooms above an excellent taverna in the tiny village. Lovely rooms with balconies. Friendly owner. A delightful spot. Greece as it used to be.

We first visited Iraklia in 2000 and we regret not returning until now. The island's visitor infrastructure has grown but it still has that end-of-the-line feel and is a delightful place to spend time away from the crowds and the noise of more popular islands. The Maistrali lived up to all the excellent reviews. Our room was spacious and comfortable...

Thank you for everything! You made our stay even better with your lovely attitude!! We stayed at Maistrali for 6 nights, at the end of August 2015. We had an amazing time and the owners' relaxed spirit helped us a lot joining the mood the island. The room had a daily service and cleaning, it was quiet and spacious and...
