Arumeru River Lodge is close to Kilimanjaro Airport and is therefore a good place for a first or last night. It consists of pleasant huts set in attractive and extensive gardens full of birds and Dik-Dik antelopes. There is a pool. The dinner buffet was very good with a quite exceptional roast ham, and the breakfast was fine. Inside, the...

We stayed here for two nights before our safari and had a day room on our last day in Tanzania. The rooms are simple and comfortable and the grounds are quiet and lovely. Service was great and the food is basic (especially lunch) but very good. We loved the rainforest walk with the owner - colobus monkeys and a view...

This was a great place to start and finish our kili and safari trip. The owners and staff were very nice and helpful. The dinners and breakfasts were good. We stayed here 3 different times during our trip in Tanzania. The newer junior suites were the best rooms. Internet is also now free which was a nice surprise. The laundry...

The Arumeru was a lovely place place to start our vacation in Tanzania. We were only able to spend one night here, but I could have easily spent more. As many have said the grounds are lovely and it was the best viewing of Dik Dik's we had during our whole trip. Our room was spacious and clean, although I...

We stayed at the Arumeru River Lodge for a few nights before and after a safari vacation and both times were very satisfied. The huge garden that is meticulously well maintained is really unique compared to other lodges. Lots of large trees, flowers and lawns that please the eye and offer plenty of opportunities for sitting in the shade, taking...

The grounds are nice and well kept, it was fun for friends who were first time visitors to Tanzania to see the Dik Dik's running around on the property. However, the rooms were basic and fairly well maintained. Although we were told not to drink the water or use it to brush our teeth, we were given one bottle daily....

It is in Arumeru River Lodge where I saw the most poorly managed swimming pool of all the hundreds of swimming pools I have been to. The pool area is so dirty with thick grains of soil and allover, the pool filled with leaves and the swimming pool floor is scared and parts of is coming of. I had the...

Dear Amaneey, as a day visitor from Arusha you came to enjoy our Pool which (as you can read in so many guest comments) is usually crystal clear due to the fresh water from our own mountain spring. Unfortunately we had to close down the Pool for 2 days during Christmas because of an underground pressure pipe that had cracked....

Stayed here in late dec. pre safari. We booked a few extra days before the start of our trip to acclimate and relax before the tour started. Glad we did, as the rest of the tour was high energy and we were ready to go instead of being jet lagged and tired for part of it. Hotel is fairly basic,...

We visited Arusha several times as our daugther lived in usa-river during two years. We never stayed in Arumeru lodge before. This year we booked a room at the lodge and were very pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the owners and all the staff members. The atmosphere is very quit and the beautiful green gardens give a relaxing feeling....
