Dear PandMinDC, Thank you for taking the time to share with us this candid feedback from your recent visit. I am truly sorry to hear your stay turned out to be such a disappointment. Although we are not a pet friendly hotel, service dogs are of course permitted and allowed to walk through the breakfast area. We have had a few with us over the past month, and perhaps that was one of the dogs you encountered while at breakfast. I am sorry to hear you found the breakfast to be terrible or stale food. Although the majority of feedback I receive regarding the breakfast is positive, I will review with staff our timing and procedures to ensure the food is not only coming our fresh at peak times but also as breakfast is winding down as well. I can assure we make all the food that is offered fresh that day, and are not permitted to save or re-heat any of the food we are offering. Converted older building, formerly a YMCA; smaller rooms, one elevator. Clean rooms, smaller size but expected in an older building. Free basement parking was a real plus. The breakfast buffet was good, again a plus for this location.

Once of the dirtiest hotels I ever visited. Its more than a YMCA modified dorm to serve as hotel to generate revenues. Parking was full of YMCA cars that is on the same building. no room service and the breakfast is to laugh. Totally delete from my list

Dear manolisc01, Thank you for choosing Hotel Zero Degrees for your recent stay, and for providing us with this candid feedback. I am truly sorry to hear your stay turned out to be such a disappointment. Although you were only with us for one evening, it appears as if you encountered numerous issues, all of which contributed to your dissatisfaction. I have grown accustom to parking complaints, as I understand our parking is limited, which is the main reason it is a complimentary service. However to hear of issues with cleanliness does surprise me. We rarely, if ever receive any complaints regarding the cleanliness of the rooms, or common spaces. Thank you for providing pictures, it does assist us in trying to identify the issues and do our best to resolve them so that no future guests of our share the same experience you did. I understand how the elevator could have appeared dirty. However with the high volume of guests using the elevator, coming in from the snow storm that night was the issue. It was simply a mix of salt and snow, in a carpeted elevator that we did our very best to manage as people continued to ride it throughout the evening. I apologize for the condition or the warn leather headboard. It is result of being repeatedly cleaned with products that have gradually warn out the leather. We are currently discussing the replacement some of the headboards that are warn, however may elect to replace them all. Please accept our sincerest apologies for your recent experience. How close is the ocean
Not sure where the ocean is in rellation to this hotel but I would suggest it is not very close given it's between Stanford and Danbury.

Not sure which park you're referring to. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle to multiple places. I'd call the front desk to ask exactly where.
