The Garcia is a wonderful hotel, staffed by an amazing team. Our family of 5 stayed for 3 nights and wished we’d booked for longer. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the restaurant food was of a very high standard with the waiting staff were attentive and beautifully polite. We used the spa and can comment that the high standard of service extended here also! The hotel is not within walking distance of Ubud central but this isn’t a problem as reception will book you into the shuttle into the centre. Being out of town means you really can enjoy peace and tranquility. I’d highly recommend this hotel for its facilities, its people and its location.

Had a good time at The Garcia, Ubud. Not very big property buy still in good shape. A bit far from main Ubud area but positive is its peaceful. Pros - 1) ever smiling staff 2) Quick service, you give a call, next moment the thing arrives. Refrigerator was not workong in starting, called them and was replaced pretty quickly. 3) nice clean rooms with all facilities. 4) extra activities like yoga, spa, shuttle 5) breakfast was of high quality with lovely Drinks options and indonesian fried rice was very yummy.
Cons - 1) Veg options need to be increase in menu 2) once we asked to reheat our pizza bought from outside but were denied by night manager of restaurant asking for extra charge just to reheat pizza for kid which is ridiculous.
All in all a nice place to stay in Bali if looking for near ubud area yet away from crowd n noise. Thanks, Uditjainphotography

It's a Trip with your child to Ashmudo airport 1 night and leaving the next day! Did you think it was good to check in during the day? It was great to be private and comfortable with six-year-olds, and the staff from the restaurant to the reception were just as friendly as everybody. Personally I prefer Alcatraz to a buffet. Every morning I had a fun choice and no lack of quality! I used all of the room service massage hotel taxis, but the massage feels a little uncomfortable. If the refrigerator in the room was full of minibar, I think it would have been more convenient to use. I was surprised that the bathroom was outdoors, and it was full of tights, so it was good for ventilation and lighting. The bathtub was wide, so it was nice to take a bath with the kids. It's going to make good memories!!

We booked the Deluxe Queen Room and were delighted to find it spacious, clean, and fully functional. They provided us with bottled water, towels, hotel sandals, a hairdryer, and an excellent brand of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. Despite our late-night arrival, they welcomed us with open arms. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from, and the tea, juices, and coffee were outstanding. We also frequently dined at their restaurant for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the Grilled Barramundi.
In addition, we tried their Blissful Couple Massage with a Jacuzzi at the end, which was incredibly enjoyable. Every staff member, from the receptionists to the kitchen staff, waitresses, cleaners, and massage therapists, was accommodating and kind. Since we were working remotely, we needed a place to work, and they provided us with a dedicated workspace since the meeting room was unavailable at the time.
The entire hotel was surrounded by lush greenery, providing a beautiful view while dining at their restaurant, swimming in the pool, or even just from your room balcony. We stayed for five days and four nights and wished we could have stayed longer.
Thank you! It was probably the best stay I've ever had in Ubud.

The Garcia is a gorgeous boutique resort with fabulous service, the staff cannot do enough to be helpful or friendly. We stayed in one of the Villa's and it's well worth the extra cost, there is one main building with the normal accommodation rooms and the balcony's looked small. The villa is incredible with it's own pool and view over the rice paddy. Great size, amazing indoor/outdoor bathroom and excellent WiFi. They run a daily complimentary shuttle service into Ubud. Couple of things to keep in mind, when we stayed there was no gift/lobby shop and there is nothing immediately outside the hotel and the mini bars are empty so bring your own snacks. The only food option is the one restaurant (with room service) and the food is the best I've had in Asia. Had a great couples massage but the spa is a little dated and could do with some love. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

The place is surreal . Neat clean and the staff are very responsive and helpful . Breakfast was served on the table and everything was prepared fresh from the kitchen . The quality of food was also good , even included an Indian curry to the menu with naan . Rooms were beautiful with a balcony, very peaceful . Facilities inside also included a kids centre and a swimming pool

This was such an unpleasant stay. We had booked a Garcia Suite, when arriving they turned round and said we had only booked a deluxe room, even though I showed them the confirmation that said Garcia Suite several times. Price difference is around £40 a night. Never got anywhere with complaining about this.
Hotel was average, no where near a 5*. We are now at Hilton Bali Resort which is also a 5* and is actually worthy of 5*. If you are planning on getting in the sun at this holiday, this won’t happen, the sun beds are located underneath the building and so is the pool. This means the whole building blocks all the sun, including in the pool.
We had breakfast included in our stay. Wasn’t very nice, also came with flies in it and in the scrambled egg.
Now the most disappointing part. On 3 separate occasions, things went missing out of our room. When speaking to reception you are made to feel like a liar. 1 of the things got returned to us and the other 2 didn’t. My English SIM card got taken or thrown in the bin, meaning for the rest of my trip I cannot take phone calls when needed which means I’ll lose money. When telling the hotel it had gone missing nothing was done about it, when I made a complaint to Agoda, Agoda then called the hotel and depended that the SIM card should be looked for. 5 mins after they had called they said they can’t find it. Again no apology. Avoid this place.
Had ordered breakfast to our room as that is something the hotel offers. A few occasions we had to remind them that we had ordered breakfast. A few times we had to remind them that the room hadn’t been cleaned etc. just a disaster to be honest.
Would highly recommend Hilton Bali Resort though, proper 5*.
Our stay was between: 6th August - 15th August.

If you’re looking for kids / family friendly resort, this is not the resort for you. The kids club is not child proof - dirty mat, exposed metal bar handle, even the base of ball pit is not cushioned. The resort claims to be 5 star but living area serves really basic sachet coffee instead of having coffee machine. There’s no telephone in the living room and sink to at least do the minimum washing cups. The restaurant however serves really good meals. I’m impressed with the kids menu. The tea time cakes were also delicious.

Blissful is the word! From the moment we arrived, the airy open reception area, the welcome drinks and the smiles on the staffs’ faces all made us feel welcome. It seemed the hotel is new. We had a two-bedroom pool villa right next to a green rice field, separate from the main wing. But surprisingly we didn’t see/feel mosquitoes around.
Hotel is new. They are still building some of the villas. But no construction noise at all when we were there. The main wing housed the individual rooms and a bigger pool, gym, kids activity room etc. Another wing was the reception, restaurant and spa (too bad we didn’t have time to try it out).
Our villa had two big bedrooms facing the pool and the green rice field, perfect view any time of the day. Each room had a huge bathroom, inside was an open air shower, big (and clean!) tub, quality full amenities (bath salts too!), clean towels, drinking water. Each room also had its own tv, safe, bathrobe, pool towels, hair dryer slippers, bedside power points and wireless phone charger.
There was also a separate air conditioned living / dining room (beautiful chandelier!), tv, sofa, big dining table and chairs, coffee and tea, and a collection of loose tea leaves and tea brewing set.
Breakfast could be had at their spacious on-site restaurant or, like we did, served at our villa. The entire set was beautifully prepared and tasted really good.
We spent lots of time in our private pool, which was about 1.1 or 1.2m depth, wasn’t so sure.
We loved our blissful time here, will certainly want to come back!

Check in was smooth and quick after a long flight.
Food was excellent, would put it on par at some of the 5 star hôtels I visited. Breakfast is a la carte but lots to choose from. Best breakie expérience ever, so delicious. Well done to the chef and staffs.
Room and service was great.
The hôtel is a 5-10mins drive from Ubud town and a taxi ride will cost you 100,000 IDR one way. The hotel provided shuttle 3 times per day and pick up only once at 6 30pm.
If you want a relaxed environment before heading to the busier town like Kuta etc, I would highly recommend this hôtel.
