My mother and I decided to take a spur of the moment trip to get away from our trials and tribulations. The destination had to be not too far away, the motel had to be inexpensive and clean. Pier Blue Guesthouse filled those requirements. It was the best deal I found, I read the reviews which mentioned the ongoing renovations,...

I liked that the motel smelled clean and that the room was very big. However, the floor felt a little gross on my feet. It felt like it needs a shampoo. The room was quiet. The TV cable broke, but I fixed it. The wire fell out of the connector. The bathroom felt really tiny. The room was a little...

The inn is a bit dated and worn. Standard older motel fare. Location is convenient and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. I believe the new owners are upgrading bit by bit. I think this is probably the best of the few independent motels in the immediate area.

This is a former Days' Inn and it shows it's wear badly. I stayed in room 217 and the inside of the room contained documentation for room 214 so clearly the numbers have changed. The decor has not changed in at least 10 years and the room hasn't been renovated at all. There was a patch on the wall where...

This hotel is now privately owned, but was formerly a Days Inn. It actually had a lot going for it. (1) Location - it was a very short drive from the interstate and to local attractions. (2) Exterior - the landscaping was being worked on while we were there. It looked good. (3) Pond - There's a large pond adjacent...

This is a good/basic hotel. The rooms are a bit outdated, but it is clean and convenient. The staff is friendly, and it is near some of the attractions in town. They offer a complimentary basic breakfast.

Well, we shopped the outlets. had a great dinner in town and wanted to stay overnight and go to Yale museum next day. This is truly no frills- a little creepy - but acceptable basic overnight. Forget the breakfast- coffee was undrinkable; carpet not something I would walk on barefoot, shower I didn't use- bit actually a GREAT bed and...

We found this place via tripadvisor but the place is now called Pier Blue. We were driving through the area and just stayed one night. It seems it has gotten a makeover cause we found the place simple, nice and clean. Friendly staff and basic breakfast.
