This was a piece of paradise here in Piedmont region. Tucked up on the top of a mountain with views that were spectacular from morning to night. Sunrise was beautiful as we watched it come up over the tower close by, and then sunset gave everything the most beautiful golden glow.
Now the rooms, the one we had was a studio, yet it was spacious and everything was spotless clean. The bed was so comfortable that I was asleep in minutes every night.
The mini kitchen had everything you could need, from a dishwasher, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker ( American style drip) to a four burner stove top. Complete with everything you would need, wine glasses to a salad dryer. Utensils, and a knife set completed the kitchen.
The view from the 1st floor was the best, and we were able to have the sunrise in the mornings. Plus with 2 other window doors the room was always fresh, in when we had a couple of hot days 33/34c
Breakfast was available for a small charge and it was delicious, with fruit, yogurt, breads and homemade jams and butter. Along with some savory prosciutto, and ham and a soft boiled egg ( if you prefer a hard boiled just ask the night before)
The infinity pool was my favorite, i probably lived in that most our our 4 day mini vacation. It was perfect. Clean as Luk would be out there in the morning making sure it was gleaming.
They also had an outdoor kitchen, which was lovely in case you wanted to grill something from the area . It’s famous for its beef! If you didn’t want to cook you had several choices as Marisa had a book of all the local places to eat, and see. Including where the butcher was for grilling.
Several nights they would cook and if you let them know the night before, you could have a meal that was Michelin star perfect. The best part about this place was our hosts, Marisa and Luk. They were the ones who gave this country home the love and attention to all of the guests. This is a small four room adults only ( or over 14) magical place. I can’t wait to come back. And even dog friendly for our little 4 footed family member.
If you are looking for solitude and peace, with some hiking or swimming this is the place for you.
I loved every minute.
Grazie Marisa & Luk

Hugs from Ella

What a nice place this is! The cottage is fully equipped (lovely bed, large round bath, dining table, sofa, bookcase with route maps and books and a full kitchen, including dishwasher). You step out the door and you have your own terrace / garden where you can sit. We sat on the road side: think of a narrow road that winds up, where a car passes by about twice a day. You can hear rustling outside the trees, insects buzzing and otherwise it is quiet... Blessed! In the large garden on the other side you have beautiful views of the whole area, you can chill in a sun lounger or cool off in the pool. If you like, you can also use the outdoor kitchen for cooking or barbecuing.

Marisa showed us around on arrival and we fell in love with this place instantly. When we were settled, Luc and Marisa came over for a drink and some snacks to welcome us. They regularly tipped us about activities or beautiful walking routes in the area. You can go either way here: visit cities like Turin or Genoa, to the coast or just into nature.

Hiking you can here all you want. It is climbing and descending, but the views and nature are totally worth it. We enjoyed our time here!

La Verdita is really heaven on earth. In the middle of nature, it’s an ideal place to relax: discovering deer’s during a walk , visiting small towns, tasting local wines, or just doing nothing sitting in the Jacuzzi with a lovely view on the valley. Everything at Verditta is very clean and well maintained. Nicolas and Natascha are very dedicated hosts. Always prepared to help or to give information, but with respect for your privacy. Strongly recommended. (Note: not really suitable for children)

... for those seeking peace and quiet this is an ideal spot, beautifully situated in the hills of the piedmont.
The studio where we stayed was really "pico bello" and equipped with every comfort.
This magnificent place is an ideal starting point for trips; to interesting cities: Turin, Genoa, Savona, Acqui Terme (for wellness) ... , to picturesque villages nearby..., to the "Riviera of Flowers" with beautiful coastlines..., or to go out in nature...
But it's also great spot just to relax and enjoy the fantastic views of the lavender fields and the tower of Merana…, for reading a book on the sun terrace or relaxing in the Jacuzzi.
We were very warmly welcomed and we received many pointers from Natascha and Nicolas on the different possible excursions.
Moreover, piedmont perfect place for delicious food and drinks ...
Thank you for everything. We will be back

We stayed at the Apartment Il Biancospino for a week with our two dogs and it was absolutely perfect. There was a well-equipped kitchen with microwave, drip coffee machine (permanent filter), electric stove, cooking pans, plates, fridge with small freezer, glasses, cutlery, … There is also a gas stove and a gas barbecue available for use in the outside kitchen.
The Bathroom has an awesome rain shower above a big round bathtub. The water was easy to regulate and always hot.
There is a small TV with DVD player and satellite connection. You can watch the complete Godfather collection which I did , or bring your own DVD’s. There is also a radio with iPod connection.
There is a lot of information neatly collected and organized in a binder available in the room which we found really helpful. We did a couple of hikes, visited some towns, found some supermarkets, … all described in there. And if you need more information, Natasha and Nicolas are always available to help.
We celebrated our anniversary in a really nice restaurant in Acqui Terme advised by Nicolas. He even made the reservation for us. A big thank you as we had a perfect evening with awesome food and wines!
Or you can wake up early, grab a mountain bike and head to the tower Torre di San Fermo to enjoy the sunrise. After that you can spend the whole day relaxing in the jacuzzi, enjoying the views and weather. Have a barbecue in the evening and do some star gazing. Absolutely amazing.
The place was also perfect for our dogs. We have two well-trained border collies which immediately felt at home here. Because they are so well-trained, It was no problem to let them run around without a leech.
We can only recommend this place and will definitely book here again if we come back to this part of Italy. Big thank you to Natascha and Nicolas for the warm welcome and hospitality and a big thumbs up for the perfect accommodation.

The feeling you get when staying in Agriturismo Verdita, is difficult to capture in words. To us, Verdita was an ideal combination of charm, peace and quietness, comfort, cosiness, ... The view over the lavender fields (cute little deers included) and hills is amazing. Merana and the surrounding villages are very quiet and hospitable. It's nice that you can visit a lot of things nearby, for example little villages with wineries, larger cities, culture, the Italian Riviera, typical markets, ... And to top this all off, the hospitality of Natacha and Nicolas was great. They are always ready to give you directions and help you where they can, make reservations, ... They are the perfect hosts! The handy, own made guide is a must to discover the surroundings and little restaurants. They can truly be proud of their Italian dream 'Argriturismo Verdita'. We are allready looking forward to visiting them again next year!

We arrived at Agriturismo Verdita in early April. While the weather was terrible in the rest of Europa we had perfect weather, a gorges apartment and great food. The owners of the apartment, Natascha and Nicholas, were very helpful and really friendly. They directed us to some great places in the area and gave us some top tips. Nicholas prepared for us some nice local Italian diners. April is a perfect month to go for rest seeking tourists, the beaches and cities are not overcrowded with tourists. The wineries had a lot of time for us.
