Hotel was not up to Sheraton standards-even for a Four Points. Supposedly, it had recent renovations but they hid them well. The place was thread bare and run-down. Room was barely adequate and had a slight unpleasant smell. Also you had to be patted down before entering bar. Price was only $88.00 a night..

I'm so sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience during your recent stay. We are working hard to be the best Four Points we can be and it's clear we missd the mark for you recently. On Saturday night, our lounge does turn into a "club" atmosphere, and with that fun, does come a drawback. I hope...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 6 May 2016 via mobile

I recently took my children and grandchildren on a trip to Connecticut. We are a large family and needed a number of rooms. The staff at the Meriden were extremely helpful in dealing with our unique needs and were a pleasure to work with. The hotel, which is very moderately priced, has a nice pool and other facilities that we...

My kids and I checked in late at night and were warmly greeted at the front desk. Our room was clean and comfortable. So too was the bathroom and the hot shower was great! Unlike the other reviews I read, nothing seemed worn out or dirty. The surrounding area was very quiet and there are restaurants nearby. This was a...

Front desk was very friendly, and the decor is what you'd expect from a Four Points; however upon pulling down the top sheet and getting into bed, we found a large wet spot soaked into bottom sheet. Not sure if water or urine (I wasn't about to get close enough to determine.) Probably one of the grossest things I've ever...

This place needs a good vacuum cleaner and new sheets that won't pop off the mattress. Everything looks worn out and neglected here, from the elevators to the rooms. The drapes in our room were decorated with curly black hair and one also lay in the sink. Our room included a discounted breakfast in the hotel sports bar/restaurant. The food...

Great setting to get together with friends after work. The hors d'oeuvres are very good. Drinks are very nice glasses always clean and the bar is tidy. Restrooms are very important, and their rest rooms are clean. Lots of parking.

Probably my favorite thing about this place was the pool and Luis, a maintenance worker (I would guess). We were checked in and checked out by AnnMarie who was training. She was friendly and held her composure even though I think she must have been exhausted. We elected to eat dinner at the restaurant (which will get a separate review)...

The hotel is pretty average. It looks and feels old despite the fact that this has been renovated. The property location is also ok. I took breakfast which was average. However, the prices are decent. If you plan to stay outdoors most of the day and want to come back just to sleep, the place is ok.

We stayed 3 nights as a short get-away. No real plans, just exploring the area. The hotel was recently renovated, but still not up to a "premium" Starwood Hotel. The staff, however, was stellar! They were incredibly friendly and helpful in directing us to local events and attractions; they remembered our names and always greeted us when we returned to...

Stayed here on way from Virginia to and from Maine to break up the drive, using Starwood points. I'm not sure how much the rooms go for, so I can't say if you get your money's worth, but I would not stay here again. Pros: Had an on-site restaurant and bar could be a relief after a long drive.
